What's good to eat or drink in San Diego

Going this weekend..of course I'm gonna go to the breweries, namely Green Flash and Ballast Point and maybe some others. What are some restaurants, neighborhoods and/or food trucks to eat at? Mainly looking for places on the casual end of the spectrum.

If only there was a search function here

Green Flash Double Stout is a fine beer. Go out to Olde Town and eat messican.

California Burrito. It's a San Diego specialty.

I remember really liking Rockin Baja in Old Town but I was around 13 years old at the time.

Went to a pizza joint/brew pub in ocean beach while in San Diego to catch some Padres games... think it was called Pizza Port. good house made brews and the pizza was tasty.
cool little area as well, right next to the water. caught a cab out there.

If I could only pick one place in the SD area, it would be one of the Pizza Ports.
But if I had a full day to spend, I would go up towards Escondido, and hit up Stone, Toolbox, and Lost Abbey/Port
ok, that's a lie, the next time I have a day to spend hitting breweries in SD I plan to check the tap list at Green Flash, and if they have the Alpine I want to drink then I am going there, otherwise I want to go out to Alpine.

If you make it over to Little Italy have the filet gorgonzola from Buon Appetito. Absolutely superb and a HUGE hunk of meat. Great wine selection as well.
Also you have to make a reservation a week in advance for this place, so it may be too late but... have some sushi from Sushi Ota. It is phenomenal. The location may throw you off because it is literally beside a 7-11, but it is the best sushi I have ever had.

I've said this before on here...but try Slater's 50/50. It's the best burger I've ever had and a great beer selection.
There's many options, but Slater's is a must for me when I'm in San Diego.
ETA--They have many different types of meat, but the 50/50 is their signature patty which is 50% beef and 50% bacon.

I was just there last week. Gaslamp Quarter has a bunch of cool open air spots. Most have their menus outside, so just stroll until so see something you like
Little Italy neighbor has a ton of cool Italian spots.
