Yes, and I’m good with it. I’m making a career change soon, and hopefully we’ll be able to make enough together to have a really nice life with our children.

It wouldn’t bother me.

It may come happen for us at some point if I go home (retire) before she does.

She does. But all goes in the same pot.
Gives me the opportunity to coach my kids in sports.
We split duties around the house.
Sex once a week.
It’s pretty awesome. But I don’t think anyone should expect marriage to be absolutely perfect every single day. It takes effort and understanding

she randomly hits on a tune she owns. if beoncé records a platinum hit using a sample, housemate hits $50k or even $90k.
here comes money.
i get a celebration dinner at a good restaurant since im VP.

most months i make more and we keep a running total of what she puts on my cc.

we've each been a big help to the other over the decades. gratitude.

My wife did for 8 years. Allowed me to get my business off the ground. Now she works part time and is happy as ever

No but there were some years before she left full time work where we were about equal. Her benefits were better so we were on her employers health and dental. If not for that her paycheck would have been more, since my employee share was larger and if it was coming out of my check instead of hers she would have had more take home income.

She spent the better part of the last decade working part time in a field that wasn’t what she went to school for. We had 3 kids, two of them pretty young, and it was more stress dealing with daycare and school carpools than it was worth her trying to keep up full time. Recently she went back to a full time position in her field and the last few months have been nice with the extra income. We work for the same entity now doing somewhat similar work, but she’s in another area than I am. I have more responsibility and better benefits so my overall package is better. The pay is only slightly more each check but I have a company car, great employer retirement, health insurance etc.

Honestly I never wanted her to go back to full time work, but with our oldest in high school it means a better situation financially when college starts. And we will have more to set aside for vacations, retirement, and during this higher inflation period I’m not sweating too much.

I am fine with it. Most of our marriage I made a great deal more. The last 8 years she has taken the lead and will continue to out earn me.

I have no problem with it. It does make saying no to smaller purchases hard. If it is less than $1000.00 I pretty much have no veto power. It is that way for both of us though.

Over 3 decades my wife has made more than me about 60% of the time. If I have a good bonus year, I edge her out, as I did this past year. We have joint checking accounts and don't spend anything without discussion that is more than $200-300. We treat everything as shared, so there is no conflict about who earned what. She will probably retire before me, so I will catch up. ??

I married a millionaire. Though I made good money before we were married at my old job I would have never come close to accumulating half of what my wife and now I own. It is alot of work cause I take care of 19 properties with 29 rentals including our own home. It is pretty nice sometimes, but a fricking migraine headache at other times. I work more now than I ever have and we have 3 renovation projects happening with a major renovation starting soon.

I just surpassed her this month. We go back and forth, so to speak. I pray she surpasses me again.

Yea 7 or 8 times and I’m no slouch.

It’s the best feeling in the world to go to work and not give a frick (in a good way). Makes me a much better salesperson
