There are a lot of rich former LSU athletes that take a lot of interest in LSU football being competitive. I imagine guys like Shaquille O’Neal, Tyrann Mathieu, and many more are Giving LSU some extra money this Christmas to help pay these football coaches.

Power move, now ND basically has to offer him the HC job or lose him.

ND must not be interested in Freeman. It will be interesting to see how this shakes out.

Freeman will almost certainly be a head coach somewhere next year.

I'd be shocked if they can get Freeman, but I thought Kelly was off the table too.

Would LOVE LOVE LOVE This. Wanted him so badly last year.

That said, Freeman will either be:

- The next ND HC

-The next Cincinnati HC when Fickell gets the ND job

These co-ordinaries hires are so freaking important andI feel we are in a great position to pick and choose our guys. Kelley is going to get the cream of the crop coming here. It is like kids in a candy store.

He obviously should have done that, but Freeman didn't go last year so I'm not sure he goes this year either. I know it's a different HC etc. but Freeman is a midwest guy who I think either slides into the ND job himself or can become Cincy's HC if Fickell ends up at ND. Cincy would be an INCREDIBLE opportunity as he would have a year or two to get stuff figured out before going to a watered down Big 12

Edit: I hope OSU reaches out to him and he goes back home. He's an alum and if he's not a HC at a big program I would like to see him at OSU of course and think they could offer as much as LSU in terms of everything he wants
