Why do Div II & IV get 2 whole weeks to prep for state but Div I & III only get 1?

Two of the 2A semifinalists are from the same district and a third is from the adjacent district.

Because ULL's field was not available this weekend.

If I'm a coach in Div I or III, I'm raising some hell about the lack of the added week. There's 0 reason the 2 games couldn't be moved to Sunday at Cajun Field.
Future coaches have grounds to argue against 1 week vs. 2 weeks to prep for a state title game as well.

How is it fair that 4 teams get 2 weeks to prepare for their respective state title games but 4 other teams (and I assume the rest of the public divisions) only get the 1 week to prepare?

Because everyone gets the same amount of time as the team they’re playing. Next question.

No, everyone doesn't. 4 teams get 2 weeks to prepare for the state title. Everyone else only gets 1 week from the semis to the title game.

The teams getting 2 weeks aren't playing the teams getting 1 week so why does it matter?

An undefeated Jesuit season would be something...

Yeah, I didn't realize it was that difficult to decipher. It's not like Jesuit got 2 weeks and Catholic got 1. All games have teams with equal downtime, so it's fair.

yeah some HS's don't want their teams playing on sunday and.... some even bitch about the week off.

You should re-read what I wrote if you think your response is accurate.

For Jesuit and Catholic it would have meant getting two byes in four weeks.

I could be misunderstanding, but he's saying that the 4 teams that get the 2 weeks to prepare for their 2 games is an advantage over the entire rest of the field that gets just the 1 week to prepare for their own game. Not that a 2 week rest team is playing vs. a 1 week rest team.
Either everyone should get 1 week or everyone should get 2 weeks. Not just these 4 teams because a site suddenly becomes unavailable.

The site did not just suddenly became unavailable. This format has been the plan for months.

I
I’ll be there for the many/Avoyelles game. It was an amazing game during the regular season. Probably the best high school game I ever saw

Does anyone know if the WM-Z game is rescheduled?

Those 4 teams are not playing the rest of the field though. Who cares how Jesuit and Catholic look compared to ED White and U High?
It’s not like the winners of those games play each other… can’t believe this has to be explained
