Apparently Napier wants Saban type of full/total control, wants specific funds for recruiting, and specific amount for staff.. Auburn Mississippi State and South Carolina must not have agreed to those terms. FWIW
coming from my Fla source.

If I am a decision maker, this is the type of preparation I would expect from a head coach candidate.

This is a good thing. He's right, everything does need to be aligned to win big.

How would you ever really prove one way or another whether a lot of the speculative and quite frankly, subjective, information that you've given us is true or not?

Agreed. This type of control must be earned.

Sounds to me he's trying to negotiate like a big dog when he's still a small pup

Napier has been patient, he has a hell of a lot of confidence the job he wants will be his.

He's a pro.

Auburn fricked up when he had to interview with one of their boosters, Jimmy Rane.

Show him a few more million than he currently makes, and his attitude will change.

That is exactly how Saban acted when he got to LSU. He demanded complete control and resources. He was given it and won. Having self-confidence and knowing your worth is not acting like you are CFB god.

That was a flat out lie. Kirby’s wife proved that when at the last minute he removed himself and was hired by UGA.
Kirby knows the truth about ALL those jobs.

Demands mean absolutely nothing. That is NOT how it works with big boy football especially for this guppie in this shark tank.

And?

If Woodward wants Napier, then he should give him what he needs to succeed, as he should any new hire.

If Napier is who Woodward wants, then I’m good. If Napier isn’t who Woodward wants, then I’m good. Anyone we get is going to be a marked improvement over O. My worrying one way or another isn’t going to affect the new hire one way or another.
