from what i'm hearing about the candidates

if i can't have Freeze, then i want cristobal. Because i hear he is an oline guy and could get our oline shored up. let's face it - the real difference between lsu and alabama almost every year, with exceptions, is the OL. we can match up with them at all the other positions.
Napier and tucker would be allright, they just don't excite me. i don't think we are in the hunt for Riley, who would be an exciting hire. Stoops is a good coach, but he hasn't shown he can run a modern offense in all his years at Kentucky.

Atleast we could run the ball with Miles, which will always work. But his downfall was being too dependent on the run.

I dont Think you can pretend Cristobal would be a bad hire.
People kept asking “why would he leave Oregon” because Oregon even with Nike Money is a hard pull, and Nike is fricking over all its other Nike Schools just because Phil Knight likes Oregon.

Does LSU have Phil Knight money? If Knight wants Cristobal to stay at Oregon, Cristobal will stay in Eugene. Probably has that kind of money in his personal checking account.....shoe money.

Why not just get a good o-line coach?
Look at what he's done at Cal- that OL went from bottom half in OL only stats to top-15.
Or if you want Riley... throw the bank at Bedenbaugh, which is his security blanket and back up OC along with being one of the top OL coaches active today. Riley will suffer without him. Wag the dog AND get a great OL coach.

Oregon is not a hard pull. He has been winning most of the recruiting battles in that area.
