I believe all the names being thrown around are nothing more than a smokescreen to keep the real target under cover.

I believe the real target is Matt Rhule. Which is tricky because the NFL season lasts so much longer. I believe the guy has character so he does not leave Carolina mid season. But that’s my prediction which doesn’t mean much. That’s the one guy whose name hasn’t been discussed nonstop around here.

Oh well, just my prediction seeing how Woodward goes about his business.

Rhule would be a great hire, but that’s not the route woody has gone before at all.

It’s Napier or Tucker-deal with it

It would, but most everyone agrees we have to have a coach be early December as not to let the Louisiana commits erode going into early signing day. Rhule could not be announced by then unless Tepper plans on dismissing end of year.

With the PSU job almost certainly opening, why would Rhule not go back to his Alma Mater?

Woodward is clearly promoting one of our current highly experienced coordinators to head coach.

Now with you throwing Rhule's name out there, would he now not be part of the smokescreen?

Any recently unemployed position coaches that we hired over the past 2 years that we can elevate?

Why should the fans “deal with” Scott Woodward the “big game hunter” settling for those two names?

Can someone please elaborate on the love for Rhule and what he brings to the table as a head coach?

I don't believe he will give up a 7 year 60 mil contract...

I agree that the hire is not a name commonly discussed due to expert misinformation executed by Woodward and the new coach’s agent. I don’t think it’s Rhule because of his unavailability until January or longer. I believe it is a current coach who’s availability is late November or early December.

Woodward doesn't hire nobody's, and this is his hire, not Tate and Williams.

he's 1 of my top 2 that i consider "not easily attainable", but unlike Urban, I think he's an easier get because he's been there 2 years now and may see he wants back in college.

i'd be thrilled to have him.
