Napier has a cohesive staff ready to go, strong LA connections, and is focused and ready.

Please hire him, Mr. Woodward.

If you don't, we will all look back in regret when Bama has him.

Yep, I don't want any non-Louisiana people to coach at LSU. We need people who are one of us.

I love how one of the reasons we apparently need to hire Napier is because we've convinced ourselves that Alabama wants him as their next head coach.

It’s really impressive. What’s even more impressive is people truly think Woodward would hire a coach from the Sunbelt who is expertise in nothing to coach LSU

Napier might be on Woodward's list, and if so, I trust him to make that determination. HOWEVER, it's not even November yet and this process is just getting started.

No reason to go all in on Napier right now.

Also, why is it a foregone conclusion that if LSU passes on him that he is going to Bama? Pretty sure both LSU and Bama are above hiring from a G5. Not saying he's a bad coach at all, but I would like to see a coach with more P5 experience than Napier has.

Could you imagine the melt if CEO or Miles would have hire “the best” OC or DC from ULaLa?

At this point, I have to assume Napier is the heir apparent to Orgeron's leadership position in the Cult of "One of Us." He's not from Louisiana, but he's been here long enough for him to satiate that crowd. And these threads echo the vibe of the 2016 variety.

To be fair Napier is a pretty good offensive coach. He calls the plays and has been an OC at Clemson and AZ St. Yes, he did get canned by Dabo, but the year prior Clemson had a very good offense and he was very early into his coaching career. He improved AZ St’s offense in his time there also.

The last two high school coaches here at the HS my sons played for in Central Florida are on Napiers staff -- apparently as analysts.

One was fired basically for enticing players from out of the area to transfer and the other quit, never achieving a winning record in a high school.

What point do you think you’ve made here?

As much of a point as 85% of the rest of the posts on this board. You obviously read it so I wasted moments of your life.

This is one of the problems with Napier. You realize that if he WAS the guy, he's not going to be able to bring his coordinators with him, right?

Right out of the gate you'd have Napier trying to build a staff with people he doesn't know.
