Rob Pelinka and Kurt Rambis are expected to remain in their current positions of power within the Los Angeles Lakers, sources tell ESPN's Ramona Shelburne. The Lakers had a disappointing season and even missed the play-in with a roster that most observers have described as poorly constructed. Pelinka joined the Lakers in 2017 and assumed his role as lead decision maker in 2019 after the resignation of Magic Johnson. Rambis and his wife, Linda Rambis, are known as key allies to Jeanie Buss.

excellent
they should both get raises and a piece of the team

If he finished the season he would be. He’s not now so he won’t be. He would have been crucified had he gone for it with them out of contention and sitting against suns. Would be hilarious to be honest

I think Pelinka is shite but he and Vogel are the scapegoats for a lot of shite pulled by LeBron, Rich Paul, and Jeannie.

While I 100 percent enjoy Ruffles' downfall, I don't want him to leave L.A. He's a key component of their downfall and I don't want them to get better by upgrading him.

Dang, talk about dysfunctional. I mean Russ was the only one out there busting his arse all season. AD and LeBron are more to blame than Russ but Russ is taking the blame. He wasn't great, there's no doubt about it, and his contract is atrocious, but they would be even worse without him. What a jacked up locker room. I actually feel bad for the dude. He's the one that didn't get what he was expecting, not the other way around with AD and LeBron.

This kind of story makes me think Russ still has a good season or two in him on the right team. Not our team… but somewhere

Russ is going to get all the blame here. Sucks for him but he will make “another” 50MM next season and he’s going to be able to pick his team after that
