This kind of story makes me think Russ still has a good season or two in him on the right team. Not our team… but somewhere
And how does our own ‘22 pick landing in the top 4 factor into this?
This guy at basketballnews.com likes Herb on the second team. Don't really know the writer or the site, but cool to see Herb get his shine. LINK

quote:

Herb Jones

Hebert. Freakin'. Jones.

Where do I even begin with him? What this guy is doing, and has done all season, is just absurd — rookie or not.

He stood out at NBA Summer League. He stood out in the preseason. He earned a starting position early. From the first tip of his pro minutes, Jones has brought the heat. Whether it's the third-string point guard or Zach LaVine (the first Chicago matchup was amazing), Herb is locked in.

I'd argue he's the best screen navigator in the league who's not a guard. His functional strength when stopping the ball can be overpowering. His length and timing on contests is immaculate. He's fantastic rotationally as well, rotating off the weak corner and blowing plays up in the paint. He may as well be a barbed-wire fence when he's at the nail, because good lord, I wouldn't have any interest dribbling in his direction. He knifes the ball like a spear-fisher.

To bring up intensity and "never giving up on a play" sounds cliche, but Herb epitomizes that with his play. Watching opposing players encounter his defense for the first time this season has been one of my guilty pleasures. This will not be his last All-Defensive team.

We are on an historic meme run
This mobile site sucks, but looks like he is invested in Bombas. Dude is pretty sharp.

Loved his interview too. Seems collected and focused on the right things.
Great article, a couple things that stuck out to me:

"Redick has reached the postseason in each of his 13 seasons."
This is crazy to me.

"New Orleans eagerly scooped Nickeil Alexander-Walker at No. 17, some members of its scouting department having ranked him as high as fourth on their boards."
Some of our scouts having NAW as high as 4 lends some legitimacy to the performance he had this summer. Really excited about him. :pels:
Thought it was really cool to see Hart already reppin the Pels. I know we've heard from Lavar, but have BI or Lonzo made any comments?

I like it. Pretend we are the ones getting him in a trade and have one year to prove it to him. If its still a no, we have a year left to sell to someone else. You have to do everything humanely possible to keep A+ players. Especially us.
Since we are dreaming, if you could have one of Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, or Jimmy Butler who do you take?
The top 4 seeds in the West COLLECTIVELY have 3 losses in their last 40 games. One each for the Warriors, Blazers, and Pels.

Wow

I actually did this a while ago as well. Huge cost savings. Here is a pretty solid tutorial. You can stop at the part where they repair the motor, and just buy a new one online.
I dont know squat about cars, so i was nervous. But it turned out to be pretty simple.

re: Kobe with 80 percent the Athleticism

I actually like the comparison.
We can look at Kobe's own career to see what an 80% athletic Kobe looks like. He's prolly been playing at 80% athleticism for the last couple years. Tough to derive anything from that because his teams have been so bad. But interesting anyway.
