Sources tell The Athletic that a coach to keep an eye on is Spartans coach Tucker. I’m told some very influential people inside LSU are really enamored with Tucker, a former Tigers assistant under Saban who knows the SEC very well from his time there and as a coach at Alabama and Georgia.

0% chance. Nice leak woody. The melt if LSU hires Michigan states 8-4 coach this year would be bad.

16-15 overall record as a HC between college and pro. Neh. We can do better than Mel Tucker.

If we hire Mel Tucker, I’m done with LSU. There are many more qualified and more experienced coaches who would come to LSU.

enamored is the correct word because he is an intriguing prospect. that doesn't mean he is high on the list right now.

I'd be shocked if we went that far down the list and didn't choose Napier.

Regardless I hope jim bob can keep this thread civil when this turns into a political and race thread for no reason.

I posted this very same thing on Wednesday and it got whacked. I also literally said “don’t shoot the messenger.” Lotta smoke around that hire from some pretty high-level boosters
