Looking for Recommendations for the best bbq in Houston. I have been to Pinkertons, Papas, and Killens.
Thanks
Thanks

Pinkertons is my personal favorite. Other answers you will probably get include blood bros, truth, pit room, feges.

Such a hard question. Truth, Blood Bros, Pit Room if you want some tacos with your bbq.

We’ve started splitting hairs on the best. They’re all world class and they all have something different about em.
Truth for central Texas, Blood Bros for a little Chinese spin, Pit Room is a little Tex Mex, Pinkertons and Roegels for East Texas, Feges has some awesome flavors from their time spent as chefs at other restaurants, Kohi has some Viet influences.
New top 50 list comes out Monday, so if any of these hit top 10 I’m sure the lines will be out the arse for a while.

Truth BBQ gets my vote as best.
Pinkertons is good but it'll cost you more than eating at Truth or Killens since they don't have plates. EVerything is weighed a la carte.
Top Tier:
Truth
Pinkertons
Killens
Roegels
Feges
Corkscrew
Pit Room is solid but comparing just the meat itself, I don't rank it as high as the above.
Disclosure: Haven't tried Blood Bros

just woke up in the woodlands we are fixing to head to corkscrew and then head home. I’ll report back

Really impossible to name one "the best" as they all do world-class stuff. Some have better sides than others and lesser brisket, etc. Just depends what you're feeling. Roegels doesn't get the love that it should. Maybe a forgotten gem?

I’ll say List Eaters honey hole.

Feges is my favorite for brisket.

My favorite at Pinkertons is their beef rib. And where ever I go I hope they have a good beef rib.
Thanks for the recommendations. I travel a good bit and like tasting BBQ around the county.

Sorry I can only add that I was kinda disappointed with The Pit Room after reading so many good things about it.

Truth tyfys
Either way go to any of the places listed in this thread and you will have terrific food. The bbq has absolutely exploded in the city

corkscrew was excellent
very cool place and incredibly nice staff
we had brisket, turkey, both sausages, all the sides and cobbler for dessert. All excellent
1.5 hour wait at 1130 and the line was double wrapped around the building when we left. That’s a good sign

yea I live in Dallas and would put Corkscrew up against Cattleack and Pecan Lodge. I think it is very good and happily go there when I can for holidays

I’m curious what is the difference between Central Texas and East Texas bbq?
Posted on 10/17/21 at 11:18 am to TorNation
my understanding is that its in the spices and sauces. central texas bbq is commonly seasoned with only salt and pepper, served sliced instead of chopped, and sauces play a major back role to the meat. while its more common to see chopped meat with sauces in the forefront with eastern texas bbq
