I could spend hours doing this.

Today I looked in an old house in an overgrown woodlot and found a newspaper from Truman’s presidency.

You stand in those places and the mind wanders to the people that inhabited that space before. What were their passions? What did they worry about? Where did they end up?

I could say "I have better things to do with my time", but I am sure if I did it and found something cool, I would have an appreciation for it.

I've watched videos. I wish there was a good one of the Plaza Tower.

There is a pretty good one of some part of OPP that was ruined by a hurricane. Crazy how sprawling and disorganized OPCSO's facilities are.

As a young lad I collected quite the library of rat chewed playboy magazines from SWLA rice mills.

I love exploring, but nowadays you have to be so careful. Crackheads are everywhere, you need to keep a firearm with you or at least a rather large knife for your protection...

Not buildings but when we were teenagers we used to explore the old train track that ran through Washington Parish. Several years ago my little cousin found a literal ball and chain in the bank of a creek that runs through our town.

I love doing that. Best ever was the Old Lady of the Lake when it was still standing. Got some old skeleton keys and ran all over it. Sat on the roof at night and drank a few beers. Bummer was the basement was flooded so we couldn’t go there. Done an old high school, bunch of old houses.

I did up til about 30 yrs old.
Now I'm wiser and more risk averse, so I just explore Google Earth and Google Street View.
