DAT 10/12-10/14. Astros to ALCS again. Game 1 Friday

Norman, that stench would be what you get when you combine the umpiring of Tom Hallion, who really put his stupid arse in a jackpot last night, with the inept bullpen management of one FODB. Both men embarrassed themselves, their profession, and their maker with their ineptitude last evening. Throw in a stadium full of trashy White Sox fans, and you have a raw, foul odor.
But today is a new day.
Generally, I (and the rest of us here) view things with skepticism and angst.
But after some number-crunching, here are some indisputable truths:
1) The good guys still have a 2 games to 1 lead.
2) The White Sox used a LOT of bullets out of their pen last night and they are relying on a gimpy Rodon today, then the lower end of their pen.
3) The Sox got more than their fair share of good baseball fortune last night, from shitty umpiring decisions to good bounces to pieces of bat flying at Correa to every ball finding every hole. That shite evens out.
4) The good guys are very used to this situation and they won't flinch.
Rain may be an issue during the day--we will have to see how it plays out. But I do know this: everyone is up in the Dome, so it's time for everyone to be up at home. Let's Go Get "em Astros!

Idk how yall feel about today's game, but as I had said yesterday, I am kind of nervous about today's game, and they are of course because of two obvious reasons: Bullpen and FODB.
I will say at the same time I am still pretty confident in our bats overall (despite them not doing anything the last 5 innings or so of the game), especially against Rodon. He died out at the end of the season and isn't the same. Think we hit him hard, while having better success against their bullpen.
Cautiously optimistic and do believe we end up winning. Let's go.

Game 3's in the ALDS have never been our thing. The game wasn't winnable.
I like the matchup today. Urq will throw strikes and let our defense work. I also am telling myself that a not at full strength Rodon will get frustrated quickly, leading to pressing pitches over the plate

Everyone knows we can’t complete a 3 game sweep so yesterday was a foregone conclusion. Today will be different. FODB

I said it last night....this game needs to get played today. A rainout infinitely helps the White Sox. It will give their bullpen an extra day off after being taxed last night.
Even if the game is played in spurts around the rain today, with starts and stops, I think that helps the Astros.
