Yeah, just throwing it out there. Definitely no slight to Urkel. He was nails against Washington in the WS. As always the fear is the Shitbag overmanaging.

Last night was an overmanaging masterpiece.
The 2-0 pitching change to bring in a meh guy with shaky command was brilliant.

You couldn’t even sell out a playoff game. Houston is a poverty sports city. Enjoy Jack Easterby and losing Correa this offseason

Would you consider throwing LMJ on full rest tomorrow and waiting for Johnny Wholestaff on Wednesday if we need it?

I am very 50-50 on this.

If LMJ pitches tomorrow or Wednesday, his first game in the ALCS wouldn't be until Game 3 next Monday either way (ALCS games 1 and 2 are Friday/Saturday, with day off Sunday).

If you can win tomorrow with a combo of Urquidy/Frambaw/whomever, then you can use Lance in Game 1, then maybe twice again if needed. Big advantage.

But if they decide to roll with Lance in Game 4, I will ride with that also I suppose...that gives you LMJ on regular rest and Frambaw also on regular rest Wednesday if you need him.

I really think you can argue either way. I don't think either option is terrible. I expect FODB to find a way to frick it up.

Nope, give me our best starter who feeds off the home crowd in the game you must win. Also, you hope you don't need him until Game 1 of the ALCS since you're up 2-1 now.

I think this is the best argument for saving LMJ. If I had to pick, I would pick this one.

Ok...that one hurt a little.

The rest is just desperation prior to you being bounced at home. But, yea, Jack sucks.

Eta: dammit Chicken! You said the fence around the SECRant was fixed. One of the slow kids got loose again.

Incorrect info, buddy boy. Those playoffs games were both sold out.

I think either scenario works, but if I were manager (wish I was), I would do Urquidy/Frambaw/whatever combo. I have faith in Urquidy shutting down Chicago and going deep. If that happens and we win, you have Lance in game 1. That would be the most ideal IMO. Like everyone says though, FODB will frick it up.

Yep. It boils down to the fact that it doesn't matter which day you use LMJ out of the next 2...he will go Game 3 of ALCS either way. And if you don't have to use him at all, all the better.

Of all pur pitchers, the one I trust the most to remain unflappable in a hostile environment is Urquidy. Give him the ball, FODB.

That zone is from the umpire's POV, correct?

I'm assuming that one of the missed calls for Grandal are one of the Green dots adjacent to #2 and in his "established zone" and therefore not missed by their terms...but fricking hell that thing looks awful

Since everybody else gave their take... you have to manage differently up 2-1 than down 1-2. Game 5 is where we should have the advantage so you save LMJ for it. On top of that, I'd only use Framber if it looks like he could put the game away. I wouldn't bring him into a tied game in the 6th or something like that.

From the second they went up 2-0, their advantage was being able to host a game 5 where nobody even needed to think about touching the mound except Lance, Pressly, and Framber. I'd keep that intact unless you really think you can win this one.
