Not so much that I “didn’t like it” but more that I think I may have taken it for granted. Compared to some of these poor bastards around here, good lord. I’m doing pretty well

Yeah man, sometimes when it comes out of the blue, it reminds me of that scene in Friday night lights (movie, not the series) when the coach goes to put Comer in out of the blue and ole boy is scrambling to find his helmet. thankfully after the first time, I now keep track of my helmet.

I will say though my wife’s up front approach has caused some embarrassment before. We were out with another couple having drinks after a concert one night. I guess she’d had more than she realized. You know how when someone is a bit over the limit they think they’re whispering quietly but really they’re not? With four kids 7 and under, we have to plan almost every single time. On the off chance we have an afternoon alone or something, she'll just straight up say something like "now might be a good time, if you want to".
I am now convinced I have taken this for granted. Good grief.
