Ultimate Twist: this guy owns the BMW and was trying to kill himself because of an impossible to diagnose electrical issue with the car that was costing him $$$$.

Shocking that the metal roof provided enough displacement as it crushed to slow him down and then absorb the rest of the force. Anyone know how high up you need to be before reaching terminal velocity on a fall?

Is this the highest someone has ever survived that wasn’t a pilot falling through a tree?

friend of mine was a charter boat captain in Key West(died of cancer last year,) he told me the story of a fellow captain on a fishing charter that came upon a guy in the water clinging to wreckage tangled up in a weed line, he got close enough to tell the guy he was going to pick him up but to hang on for a few minutes because he wanted to make a pass on the weed line, sure enough they picked a big bull dolphin and got it on the boat then rescued the guy in the water

Im confused. So the dolphin destroyed the boat?

The man crashed through the roof of the Beemer parked below 26 Journal Square at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, then stood up with a broken arm and asked, “What happened"

If ever fall 9 stories I want say "what happened" and never remember what that time in the air was like

Similar but different, some dude jumped from the top of the stratosphere in Vegas last week. I saw a tiktok video of a guy at the scene and he said the dude basically exploded when he hit. There was blood and stuff 20 ft up a sign nearby.

He was identified as a 30-year-old Henderson man, and the Clark County coroner’s office ruled his death a suicide and said he died of blunt injuries.

I'm no coroner but feel like I could've diagnosed this one.

If the guy being rescued was a fisherman he would have completely understood

If I had been the guy treading water I could easily have seen myself giving the Capt. a thumbs up while asking "What they hittin'?"

Police are investigating the incident, including whether he jumped, fell or was pushed

Have they tried asking him?

I had heard that before from another charter boat captain down there. True or not it makes a good story.

WWII Navy pilots were taught if their chute failed in a bailout over water to try to enter the water as vertically as possible with toes pointed and arms straight down at their sides. Unknown who came up with the idea and if anyone actually used it successfully.

If he tried to kill himself from 9 stories and failed, talk about a punch to the gut.

The dude probably is at his lowest and can’t even succeed at killing himself
