Not a very good thinker eh?

OC & DC will improve as well as their units.
Oline can only get better.
QB will get better with experience and with a capable line and running game.
Defense is improving and did a good job of executing the game plan yesterday.
Team will gain more experience…pretty young at skill positions and loaded with depth.
Transfer portal for linemen.

Idk why some of our fans think new coordinators should be a seamless transition. I guess they also haven’t paid attention to other teams that look down this yr…Clemson, OU, and OSU for example.

I’m sure Woodward has

We have a plethora of posters who pretend they know what Woody is thinking and his “POA” is already started. It’s such BS. There’s no coaching search going on in the background. Not only is that unprofessional AF but it’s also feckless until the firing happens. This is not the same situation as the Les debacle because e don’t have a guy like Jimbo to target with LSU ties.

Most position groups will be better, especially the all-important QB position.

Oline will be a complete change out. Who knows if it will be better or worse.

Dline will be even better than the excellent play we have had this year.

Linebacker will probably be about the same (much better than folks on here think, fortunately).

Defensive backfield should be good. We’ll lose Stingley, but due to injury, he’s been a non-factor the last two years. The young safeties should be a force next year.

On offense, our WRs should be much better, QB should be much better, RBs should be improved, TEs should be better. Offensive line is the big question mark. Orgeron should work the portal to find some good offensive linemen.

One more thing: we should return our coordinators, so we’re not learning new systems. That should give us a quick start.

I think the new OL coach is actually a good one but hasn't had much time with these guys and frankly, not much talent to work with.

So ignoring that Arky’s OL improved significantly with his departure doesn’t mean anything, right? The fact the HC at Arky is an OL guru and we took the trainee and they improved while LSUs veteran laden OL literally got worse should tell you something.

It’s possible… one thing O got going for him is if shite working… he knows how to stay out the way… if the talent catch a spark I can ride it out without interfering… this is what Les couldn’t do

If they both return. With O’s track record at LSU it is likely one will leave.

Did Clemson, OU and OSU change coordinators?

If O is back next year I am thinking it’s because we won at least 7 games this year. It’s hard for me to predict we eill win 8 or more in 22, but if we do it will be because of Max, Boutte Smith, Ricks, Roy and the younger players getting better.

Hate to say it but I just don’t see Max starting after this year.

Hmmmmm. So you want someone who is an organization guy who builds a winning culture that holds everyone accountable. A person who can kick some arse but engenders run through a hail of bullets and a wall devotion. A person who always has his team ready to play. A guy who can take a bunch of skill players who were mostly in high school last year and bring you to the precipice of a championship year after year.

I got it, you want.....Nick Saban. Maybe he'll leave Alabama to play for a dynamic team full of the highest quality skill players in the country. If not, you'll go for Jimbo Fisher.... I hear he still has fond memories of BR. Maybe you want Chris Peterson .....I hear he's just sitting in the Seattle area ready to be called by someone from the hot humid southeast. PJ Fleck, maybe? Yeah you only have a year to establish a culture....are the Gophers on the cusp???? Oh you want Tom" will work for food" Herman....he's a qb whisperer....maybe he can get Max throwing 3-4 touchdowns a game? I like Billy Napier ...until....

Veteran linemen that aren't good are just bad veteran linemen. As far as the first part of your post, that's all subjective and to call him Pittman's "trainee" is just not true.

It’s pretty simple.

7-5 means only 4 wins vs meaningful opponents. Which is less meaningful wins than last year and a losing record vs meaningful opponents. 8-4 is equivalent to last year. I still think that buys him another year though. To do that he has to win 5 more games and we haven’t played anywhere close to our best opponents yet. We will see…

This board's constant obsession with firing or not firing our football head coach is tiresome.

There is no possibility that O gets fired this year, outside of conviction of criminal activity or severe recruiting violations.

Find a new obsession.

I wasn't happy with hiring 2 coordinators that have little to no game planning experience, but if they are here next season they will at least have experience.

On top of them being new there are a lot of position coaches that are new to the team or even coaching. Only Mangas has time spent with the new coordinator so we have new coaches performing new jobs they haven't done trying to learn each others' skills while trying to assess the best players to play and develop them.

If you were asked the best way to assure that you would be behind the curve when the season started you could point to this team. That being said this team could be the most improved by seasons' end or completely fall apart. Since the end of the 2019 season the only continuity on the team has been the HC and honestly he's pretty far down my list of where I would like to see continuity on this team.

Not comparable when Jimbo won a ring at the school he was coaching at the time of the under the table deal Alleva made with him.

But comparable because both were coordinators on LSU NC teams.

Just pointing out that a coach with LSU ties besides Saban is doing quite well right now that’s all. Could Alleva have elevated the wrong assistant to replace Miles? Perhaps, we shall see.

There won’t be. We are in year 6 of Ed. There is actually no excuse for this shite. He used his free excuse year last year with COVID, but we all knew that was BS and COVID was a convenient excuse.
