I cannot think of a way that it’s possible.

Winning 6 games next year will likely be an improvement from this year.

I’m sure Woodward has his list of preferred candidates and if none are available O will be back next year

There is a possibility that our coordinators get better in their second year as play callers.

Coach O has got to go. Let’s face it ,we will not beat Bama this year or next year or the year after next. We will go to crappy little bowls under Coach O leadership. It’s embarrassing to have him as a Coach. Just some buffoon tearing off his shirt every chance he gets.We will not be an elite program until he leaves. And who will our next coach be? Time will tell.

O's fate will be determined in the next 4 games. If we are 6-2 at the open date, O will be HC in 2022. 8-4 will get him another year because of the size of his payout.

Max will be better in 2022 under the current regime as will our receivers. D will be OK. O Line will need help.

I can get on board with some O firing, but this is a weird take after an SEC road win.

There is plenty of time for this shite to play out.

This might be the most productive freshman class we have ever had. That’s a positive

I generally don't hang hopes on true freshmen but Walker Howard and Will Campbell could be gamechangers for our offense next year. I really think both of these guys will have a chance to start from Game 1. Our O-line should be better with Dellinger/Campbell at tackles. If we get growth out of guys like Martinez/Dumerville/Bradford/Wire/Hill ect., this part of our team could be much better. I think the new OL coach is actually a good one but hasn't had much time with these guys and frankly, not much talent to work with.

As for coaching change, maybe it happens...maybe it doesn't. I don't think many people think Ed is the answer but he is capable of having a better team next year.

Young RBs ready to take over
Young DL just gets better
QBs with more experience and the addition of Walker Howard

What is not to like about the future?

you are correct. if O is not fired, our 5 star recruits are all going to decommit and we will have the same issues next year

If O is not fired, they will not decommit.

You have that backwards

Should be better at every position, with the exception of the OL, which could be a disaster area to an extent never seen before in the SEC. We likely lose Ingram Deculous, Shanahan, Hines, and possibly Wire. We return not one OL who has shown the capability to play at the SEC level. Unless we knock it out the park with transfers and jucos the OL will be beyond sucking. Other than that we should see upgrades at wide receiver, quarterback, running back, tight end, on the offensive side of the ball. The defensive side of all should be better at DL, LB, and about the same, possibly upgraded, in the DB. Add that in with more experienced coordinators and things look pretty good other than that one area that will most likely sink the team

If O is back next year I am thinking it’s because we won at least 7 games this year. It’s hard for me to predict we eill win 8 or more in 22, but if we do it will be because of Max, Boutte Smith, Ricks, Roy and the younger players getting better.

I don’t know where the OL will come from or the LBs, but we do have the transfer portal.

Coach Orgeron has proven good in the past at filling
trouble spots in the roster with jucos and transfers in the past, so maybe there's a chance he can fix the OL for next season.

We could improve. Our qb will have a full year of experience. coordinators will have more experience. Oline could be worse, but that's the case no matter what. dline should be truly elite by next year though. not sure lbs could be any worse. Safeties will be better.
