Really is a shame what happened to Amanda Bynes

TBS is randomly showing She's The Man right now, first time I've seen in years.
No real reason to ever watch it more than once, but Amanda really was on a path to becoming a really strong comedic actor for a long time. She was both hot and genuinely funny.
...then she went off a fricking cliff.

Oof just looked her up again, first time in years and she looks awful. Why the hell would she get a tattoo of a heart under her eye

its scary what these adults have done to a lot of these younger kids especially the female kid stars
its like they're broken physically and mentally

I remember seeing an MTV special back then that just followed Amanda Bynes for a day or week or whatever and she seemed really down to earth and genuinely funny. Was a diagnosis ever released with her? Schizophrenia?

Sydney White was an enjoyable movie.

It’s really sad how these child actors are tossed around and repeatedly abused. Everyone in Hollywood seems to be perfectly fine with it.

I would never want my kid to be famous, it just seems to screw them up.

I, too, was watching Big Daddy

One of the more underrated sequences of the Office:
quote:
Michael Scott: Look, I don't- I don't wanna leave this branch that I love to an outside hire. Therefore, we're going to have a 100-point, winner-take-all, sudden death, Tribal Council round to test the aspect of my job that I think is the most important. Something I call the Bob Hope factor.
Kelly: Who's Bob Hope?
Michael Scott: God! He's- He's a comedian.
Kelly: Oh, like Amanda Bynes.
Michael Scott: Who's Amanda Bynes?
Kelly: She's from What a Girl Wants.
Michael Scott: Oh, I love that movie. Yes. Kelly is right. The person to replace me has to have a great sense of humor. And they have to possess the leadership qualities of a Bynes or a Hope.

Once upon a time, Amanda Bynes was well on her way to being a complete smokeout. She was funny, endearing, and genuinely talented.
No doubt, the Nick machine grabbed ahold of her and ruined her. A complete and total shame. She never had a chance around those pedos.

It’s like in a comedy movie when the hot popular girl that spurned the main character in high school is now living in a trailer with 8 kids and a meth-head husband.
Except its 100% real this time.

Hollywood kids end up in a bad place far more often than not.

Mental illness tends to hit most people in there early 20,s when the brain makes its final adjustment to adulthood. This is when most go off the rails.
