Are you still supposed to prop the heater up on “a rock or something” that always tripped me out

What’s the cost per MRE? They seem way more expensive than I thought they were.
They're sky high right now. Over $10 per MRE. I used to pay half that.

I know a dude.. He is kind of cheap. He had a friend that worked at a fire station in LP and after Gustav that firehouse had several boxes of MREs left over and he gave him a box. Be brought the box to work and ate MREs every day for lunch until he ran out.
He had a collection of those small bottles of tabasco on his desk.

I got a bunch made from some company in Ohio. They weren’t that bad. For the five days I was doing clean-up, I ate them for lunch each day. I honestly believe that’s what gave me the strength to do all of the work that I did because normally shite like this in this heat kicks my arse. The only downside was that it gave me a ton of gas. I was farting non-stop.

Jesus. Even $5 per seems high to me. I figured those things were made to be like $10 for a whole box of them or something. $5-$10 per is almost like a whole fast food meal.

Does anyone know where I can get a box of the Warfighter ones

Man the dehydrated Pork patty back in the 80s was the shite if you’d take the time to heat it up and rehydrate it.
shite, I liked that thing dry, right out of the pack. It was like a thick freeze dried cracker but tasted of salty pork. Totally different experience than rehydrating it and trying to pretend it was a McRib.

I had C-rations one time; well, I think it was C-rations. huge casserole size cans that fed several soldiers. I remember being amazed how bad you can frick up scrambled eggs.

Tasted the same at every Army base I served. Always my favorite.

At least you were never stuck with the dreaded Pork Patty. That was always the last one left in the box.

I’ll trade you peanut butter for jalapeño cheese

Why would anyone let themselves be put in a position where they had to rely on hurricane MREs??
This is how I know you have never spent more than 2 weeks without power and water in a Louisiana summer doing hurricane cleanup. Keep cooking for your boyfriend daisy.
