Sheeut, I ate scrambled eggs out of a can in the old C rations. Probably the only thing nastier was the dehydrated pork patty when they first switched to MREs.

I'm an old fart from the C-rations era and we had a different name for the "ham and lima beans"

That heated Hashbrown breakfast hit different whenever you are freezing your dick off at the arse crack of dawn. Chicken Pesto Pasta always had that good arse bread and a packet of instant coffee

There's like three companies that make them to DoD specifications. There are 24 different menus that are produced. MREs come in 2 different cases, A and B. A has 12 of the menus, B has 12 of the menus.
I get an A and a B case of them every year for hurricane prep. Last year's hurricane MREs get used for hunting, fishing, by myself and don't feel like cooking, etc.
