Saban wasn’t man enough to succeed in the pros

I would argue that it’s impossible to be a decent human being and coach a national championship team… there are so many points where you have to be cutthroat, where you have to cheat, or process kids, etc. Decent human beings top out at having top 25 teams

Somewhat spin-off of this

Some guys I’d never let my son play for

Mangino (he’s a worthless human)
Bill Snyder (just know too much due to K State connections)
Schnellenberger (he killed a kid in 2 a days by refusing water)
Tressel (Youngstown and tOSU)
McCartney
Jackie

I don’t know any of these coaches enough to have strong opinions about it. I’m a little suspicious of people who do.

Unsure why Stoops wasn’t mentioned.

Gene Chizik? The thread was about personality, not ability to build a program.

Shug Jordan.

Landed at Normandy, Sicily, North Africa, and Okinawa.

He was a man’s man.

Now that he’s away from Texas and Aggie beat him at UNC, I can say that Mack seems like a good dude.

His problems at Texas were boosters, not him.

Lol. Y’all are insane.

What the hell does this have to do with being a decent human being?

Yeah, I feel like Mack Brown has avoided being in the news for anything bad. His players also didn’t have the outlaw/renegade stigma attached to them like the Miami, OU, and Florida squads.

Spurrier literally quit his job and his team and all of his recruits midway through a season.

Piece of shite.
