TV: Desmond Howard

In person: Wurffel but that was the year before he won it.

Saw Jason White right after he won it in the 2003 BCSCG

For some reason haven't seen a lot of Heisman winners in TS, in part due to a relatively lower pct for SEC, and also just happenstance I guess (missed Tebow, etc.)
I never saw a Heisman winner live until I had moved to Dallas after graduating. Saw Bo Jackson in the 1986 Cotton Bowl. Saw Tim Brown in the 1988 Cotton Bowl.

Covered a few Knicks at Mavs games late in Charlie Ward's time with NY. Remember talking about him being the Heisman winner when they were warming up before a game. Those were bad teams, led by Allen Houston & Latrell Sprewell.

Doug Flutie.

Up there. I think Flutie would have had a much better NFL career in today's game. More creative offenses today & rule changes would have helped him.

I probably saw eventual Heisman winners in the early to mid 90's, but wasn't aware of it, because I really didn't care outside of LSU, at that age. But the first one I remember watching was Ricky Williams. And I was a Saints fan in those days, when I still gave a crap about the NFL, and wanted the Saints to draft him SO badly. I was elated when it actually happened.

... But that was before I realized how steep the cost was to get him. I didn't have ESPN at the time, and was temporarily blissfully unaware that it was one of the dumbest draft trades in history.

He was fun to watch, though, after a pretty boring rookie season.

I remember people before Reggie Bush, but he was the first one that comes to mind that I actually watched and payed attention to. A few before him I would casually hear about but didn’t pay attention.

The NCAA is still so lame for taking away his Heisman, and I say that as someone who hated USC around the time he was there because of the split national title.

Sorry, yes John not Gino. Sorry, I wasn't impressed.

Brad Davis averaged 5.2 yards per carry against a tougher schedule than Cap played against. And I can assure you there was nothing imaginative about the runs that were called for him.

And Penn State beat LSU n the Orange Bowl. So tell that to Joey.
So - Cap only had 54 yards and was shut down, so you can tell that to Joey.

Seen Weurffel, Tebow, Cam, Reggie, Leinart, Jameis, Henry, Burrow, Ingram, and Palmer in my day. I guess obviously Weurff was the first.

I remember liking Mike Rozier, but I don’t remember specifics about his campaign. I distinctly remember fanboying Flutie the next year.
