Tom Brady
As far as I'm concerned, he's the GOAT at QB in the NFL.
Hell, his 10 Super Bowl appearances with 7 of them wins alone is a testament to his prowess as an elite QB in the NFL.
Add to that his stats over the years and it's a no-brainer nobody will come close to his overall accomplishments at that position.

until I see it happen I don't think any NFL team will surpass the Buffalo Bills of the 90's with 4 straight super bowl appearances.

And failed miserably in all of them. Nothing to hang their hat on other than they got to the dance and twisted their ankles trying to keep up.

quote:Barry Bonds broke it, I don't care what people say about the steriods. It takes skill and power to hit HR's, and Bonds had a lot of HR's even before he took the steriods to buildup his body. He really didn't need to take the steriods because I think he would have broke it without the extra size, but taking roids was all the rage back then (The Bash Brothers and all that jazz) Lol.
I don't see a way for anyone to break Hank Aaron's (*Barry Bonds**) HR record

The Patriots were within striking distance in 2019 but lost in the wild card round to the Titans.
They had made to three in a row the previous seasons.
So there is that but it still hasn't happened since the 90s Bills
Will yeah except that first one wasn't a blowout double digit loss.
that makes what New England did all thaT more impressive in the salary cap era but now Brady is gone on to the Bucs.

Otto Graham quarterbacking his team (Cleveland Browns) to TEN consecutive league championship games (winning 7 of them) in TWO different leagues (AAFC & NFL) from 1946-1955.
The same could be said about Paul Brown coaching his team through the same streak.
Edited to add: Graham also played for the Rochester Royals of the NBL (forerunner to the NBA) in 1946. The Royals won the NBL Championship that year. Graham was the first of only two people ever to win championships in two of the four major North American sports.
Not too trashy.....

Jerry Rice yds record even with the added game. It’ll take a long time. He was as best as they ever come at WR. He held it down during the heavy RB days of football. His routes and dedication are fascinating. It could be decades and decades and advancements in sports athletic training to pass his yardage record. And even then I assume people will do the math of the full 17 games and equate that to Rice’s 16 games. I think this one will not be broken in any of our lifetimes. He was that damn good.

The ironman streaks for the three major sports are insane. I saw Favre and Cal mentioned already, but the sexless wonder AC Green deserves a nod as well.
Favre started essentially 18 and a half seasons in a row at QB without missing a game.
The iron virgin AC Green played almost 15 NBA seasons in a row without missing a game
and Cal's over 16 straight years without missing a game in the MLB
All 3 of them are just miles ahead of their peers in those categories so I don't see them being passed in our lifetimes.
Russell Wilson is the longest active QB start streak in the NFL right now with 144. He would need to start every game for the next 9 years to tie it and then start the first game of year 10 to break it. He turns 33 later this year... (Only one other player has a longer active start streak than Wilson and it is Ndamukong Suh with 147 and he is 34)
In the NBA, Mikal Bridges has the most active consecutive games played with 227. He has played every game of his 3 year career so far. So he only needs to play 12 more seasons without missing a game to break the record...
In the MLB, the longest active games played streak is held by Whit Merrifield with ..430. He turns 33 in a few months. He would need to play every game until he is 46 to break the record.

Agree on Rickey Henderson’s stolen base record never being broken. Rickey had 1,406 career stolen bases. The highest any active player has is 33 year old Dee Strange-Gordon with 333 stolen bases, which is good enough for 127th all time ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)
