This guy just needs to shut his mouth, he’s acting like a jilted girlfriend. We would have gladly sent hu to the East is someone gave us e be a reasonable offer if it didn’t happen so he moved him to a playoff team. The bad thing is that I used to really like this guy. He probably still has nightmares of Garrett Temple shutting his arse down in college.

I hope it's true. Griff should complain. Klutch initiated this shite a long time ago, and they finally got their wish. If we need to lose a second but they/bulls get hammered, I am okay with this. Hell, if it only casts light on the situation and reduces it from happening in the future, I am okay with that.

Bulls should get hammered, we lost Ball to what every one agrees with was on the low end compensation wise. I don’t see why we should lose anything.

It’s a little bit for show probably, I guess. I don’t know. I think you would probably have to ask the guy who’s asking for the investigation. Some teams cleared a ton of cap space to get Kyle, and it didn’t happen. And then Lonzo leaving. So you’d have to ask that guy, that guy complaining.

Still don’t have a problem with anything I said in that thread.
My complaints were never, not once, about defending JJ as a person. They were about the repercussions of setting false expectations with players and agents and how that can have snowball effects, especially with a guy like Reddick that has a big microphone and playe rinfluence. And I’m guessing things right now are going just a bit more difficult with Hart given the agent that felt lied to by Griff in the Redick situation, Aaron Mintz, is also representing Hart.
Fans rarely give enough credit to how much power and influence agents can wield in this league until something like the Lonzo or AD situation happens. Then people suddenly wake up and realize these guys can largely force situations and not really have any repercussions. And they are one of the most trusted allies of players.
The main concern being whether Griff’s behavior in that situation was a one-off instance of poor communication and expectation setting, in which case if it was, the fallout should be minimal, but if this is a consistent pattern of behavior, or part of a larger fault in his leadership and management style, it is something to be worried snd concerned with. And I think this offseason hasn’t really removed those concerns about him as a good communicator or front office manager given how poorly we seemed to strike out again and again and how we seem to continue to see complaints from current and past players reported by them or through proxies about Griff and this FO, about their happiness in New Orleans.

JJ needs to grow up. He's been in the league far too long and understands the business. Griff tried to do right by JJ but he can't help that the east coast teams wouldn't give up anything of value because they thought JJ was washed up.

personally --- i dislike him as VP. I think it was a mistake, especially when you hired what people considered an "up and coming" front office guy like Langdon.
We had a chance at a complete rebuild, new GM, new VP, and eventually a new coach. All we got was Griff and griff-speak

If Griff told JJ “we’ll 100% trade you to NY, Brooklyn, Philly, or buy you out” and then trades him to Dallas without talking to him first, that’s on Griff for making a dumb promise to begin with.
Now, we don’t know if that’s how it unfolded, but that’s basically how JJ has explained it.
I don’t really have a problem with him taking his shots.
