For managing money? Need something educational for my commute instead of listening to garbage.

I saw someone mention the Clark Howard podcast on here a while back.

Mainly any podcast about investing, wealth building, money management type stuff. Figured you guys and gals would have some good suggestions.

We study billionaires is a good podcast to subscribe to. Has a crypto show as well on the feed.

I also subscribe to the cnbc feed, I listen to fast money most days. It's quick and they run through all the current investing news, I enjoy the analysts they have on that show as well.

In addition to the two things Pendulum mention, which I agree with, I also listen to Exchanges at Goldman Sachs. They are typically informative.

Capital Allocators is okay, too, but it can get into specialized information that is a little too detailed at times.

DR harps on 12% in “good growth stock mutual funds”. But never says which funds they are when asked.

I found we study billionaires last year and love it. It’s a broad spectrum and isn’t “how to” focused. Just really interesting interviews with professionals on all types of financial topics. I recommend it to everyone.

Are people even listening to Dave as much these days? I know about 8-10 years ago he seemed to have more of a following and was more highly regarded by people on this board.

Dave Ramsey is good for the masses and sometimes it’s entertaining to hear the crazy amounts of debt people have racked up. Sad but entertaining.

Eventually, you graduate from Dave Ramsey and start to optimize/personalize your savings/investing.

This, Dave will always have a place, because he appeals to the masses who have non-mortgage debt and struggle with that. There really isnt a much better place to go (that's well known) to get rid of debt fast and the way he presents it can be motivating and entertaining even. Beyond getting out of debt (non mortgage) and having the emergency fund though, his advice isnt necessarily great. The bog standard invest 15% of your income doesnt work for someone in their 50s if they have never saved. The issue is his advice isn't catering to an individual at all and people have different situations.

Yeah someone in their 20s or 30s getting out debt then doing 15% and if they keep up with 15% will likely have a nice retirement, but it simply doesnt work the same for someone later in life. You hear someone in their 60s call in still working and nothing saved for retirement and its the same advice he's giving to someone who is 25 calling in.

Dave has to say no to credit cards because the majority of his followers had issues with credit card debt. He cant appeal to people who are responsible, pay their off every month, and just reap the benefits of the rewards.

I listen to this one a lot, they are pretty good and wish they would appeal to a broader audience as their overall layout is one of the best out there. Still some things I would disagree with them on, but overall they are a good listen.

When the majority of Americans (especially the young ones) are not taking advantage of their employers 401K match, there is a need for Dave.

Hopefully they can do more shows concentrating on the 40-50 year old crowd. A lot of what they concentrate on is saving as early as you can. However their financial order of operations and investment pearls have helped me over time.

Animal Spirits is my favorite.

I enjoy WSJ's The Journal too. It's not focused on investing/money but covers a wide range of interesting topics.
