My business is using automation and throughput to free up hospital beds for new admits.... You DO REALIZE that this is not that unusual. ICU's stay packed and are always in demand... If not, I wouldn't have such a great job.

why would CDC produce a graph (like in the OP) that is outdated compared to the graph that LSU>USC posted?

OP posted deaths. LSU>USC posted cases.

You know the data to be incorrect, or are you assuming it's incorrect?
It's known to be incorrect. Need I point out again the shaded area and the reason for it? Need I point out how many sources of data, including the CDC's own, conflict with this chart? And need I put two and two together for you and explain why this chart conflicts and how it relates to the shaded area?

Explain how you believe I'm trolling. You said, verbatim, "incomplete can't be accurate", which is patently false.
Ah "verbatim", another word you apparently need a definition for. Because I did not say "incomplete can't be accurate", I said "If it's incomplete, then it cannot be accurate by definition". And if you refer to what I said about you having trouble with words in the context of conversation, "it" refers to the topic of this thread: the chart and underlying data.

Now, if you still don't understand why a visualization which uses incomplete data absolutely must be inaccurate, then you may be beyond help. Have you been diagnosed with any deficiencies? I'm pretty sure your mother could receive financial benefits from the state for your condition.

LSU>USC's chart has both deaths and cases.

It absolutely does and said so in the title of the graph. That someone downvotes facts is a sign of emotion, not knowledge.

So you said what I posted, just not word for word. Got it.

In no way does this make your "incomplete can't be accurate" sentiment any less ignorant.

There it is, verbatim. Just want to quote it so I can laugh at it some more.

No, you don't got it. One phrase refers to the topic at hand, and the other is a universal phrase. Words matter, you know?

It's true in many cases, including this one.

Seriously, you should get yourself evaluated. Your family could be missing out on some cash to help with your care.

Anyway, let's just take a minute to recognize that we have firmly established that OP's chart/data is incomplete, specifically the data referenced by the text of his post, and as a result said text is not based on fact/data/reality/whatever fricking word makes you happy.

So... You tinker around in a lot of threads.

You're knowledgeable in a fair amount of topics.

Baw, whether I agree with you or not, you might be the smartest man to ever wear white boots.

So he didn't say what you said.

If you think you have the stronger argument, changing words or context only diminishes whatever you are attempting to argue.

Because frick you. That's why.

Admittedly, I too hate when people reply to a thread by replying to the most recent post.

This is not true. Some random nurse on FB says kids are dying bc of Covid.

I know you’re joking but we were in Children’s Hospital today and tonight. It’s a ghost town literally. Got in ER seen and in bed in less than 4 hours. Including ultra sound/Cat scan and blood work. There literally are no patients there. Where this fear of kids catching and dying from this is FULL OF shite. Even asked ER doc how many cases they have there. She said there is way more of a problem with RSPV right now in young kids than Covid.

Our kid's daycare is on a tear. RSV, strep and four COVID. 3/4 Covids were with a teacher positive. My kid was with the RSV and Strep kids.

The daycare was pretty quiet for months. My kid was sick last week (when isn't he?), but it wasn't serious so who knows what he had.

Daycare is a ghost town due to the COVID scare. I figure it's made it less likely my kid catches it at the daycare and pickup is a breeze

If a kid gets a positive the whole room gets booted for two weeks so I'm hoping no one pops positive. I can't imagine the doctors do anything if the kid just had a cough.

The problem is not beds, it’s a shortage of staff. Everywhere. Staff up, problem solved.

The part of the graph highlighted in grey is incomplete, and as a result also inaccurate.

By that logic everything on the graph is inaccurate because doesn’t include information from 2019 or 2022.

It’s incomplete. It’s not inaccurate. Past data points and the trends on the graph aren’t tainted just because the latest update hasn’t happened yet.

It's all just another grift. This is just one of the major grift of our time. There will be more grifts in the future.
