This is the type of data the media would be reluctant to point out. It’s a trend line that tells a clear story that can’t be contorted or misrepresented in a single headline. And it’s not something they shocks people into clicking and sharing.

The rightmost part highlighted in grey. You know, the part with the footnote that says it's not accurate due to delays in the data.
The data is incomplete. That doesn’t mean it’s inaccurate.

The primary issue facing our region is overburdened hospitals.
I’m willing to bet that if you dig into this you’ll find that they aren’t “overburdened” but that they’re “understaffed.”
Adding staff costs money, but pushing fear-porn about a “pandemic” gets you big government funding.

Down to arguing semantics now? I'm game.
They could have ended the visualization without including the time period with incomplete data. Then the chart likewise would have been incomplete in a way. But if a chart includes a period with incomplete data, that makes the visualization inaccurate. Or misleading. Or useless, if the incomplete period is the only part we're interested in. Whichever you prefer.

28 of Alabama’s 68 counties are suppressing this data. Mobile County has suppressed Covid deaths since the end of March.

That's the true reason for concern.
Healthcare resource capacity is the primary concern for people who think realistically and logically about this.

Hmm, why are we panicking again?
Because tonight, as of the 5:00 news, there were only 6 unoccupied ICU beds in all of Mississippi….SIX….

Not semantics. It’s just reality. There are data points from a wide variety of dates on the graph. Because we lack the latest data points doesn’t mean the graph is inaccurate.
It’s just incomplete.

I'd like to add a 7 day moving average for hospitalizations to the previous image but doesn't look like it's readily available
Would love to see that, especially broken down by state. That would be valuable data and an important trend line to understand. But I can’t find anything like that for a state or even district level.

The part of the graph highlighted in grey is incomplete, and as a result also inaccurate. That's the meaning of the words we're using. It's just reality.

If it's incomplete, then it cannot be accurate by definition.
This is patently false. Odd thing for such a smart person to say.

Oh look. More “reality”.

The chart says they don't have data for the last two weeks. Kork is correctly pointing out a graph with no data for the last two weeks can't be used to claim current condition.
It's not hard to understand his stance.

The chart is a time series of deaths per day. How can it be "correct in all details, exact", if it communicates a number of deaths on a given day which does not represent the actual number of deaths on that day?

The side effects I experienced from the Moderna shot were terrible, probably the worst I have ever felt, most subsided after 3 days, but I still have residual effects that I am starting to be concerned about.
What type of effects?

If that is the case, you need to report this unusual condition. Have you?

What you said is incomplete can't be accurate, which isn't true in the least. Even when arguing semantics, you can't get it right.
Poor guy.

Poor guy.
I'll repeat the question: How can it be "correct in all details, exact", if it communicates a number of deaths on a given day which does not represent the actual number of deaths on that day?
I'm sure you're trolling, at least I really hope you are. Otherwise you just might be the dumbest person I've ever conversed with on this site.

You taking a poorly interpreted definition of the word accurate and posting it isn't me struggling with anything.

You know the data to be incorrect, or are you assuming it's incorrect?
Don't bother, I'll answer for you: You're assuming it's incorrect.

Explain how you believe I'm trolling. You said, verbatim, "incomplete can't be accurate", which is patently false.
Your problem scooter, not mine.
