I keep hearing from various sources including news and radio that they are seeing more and more children hospitalized with covid. Yet, I've seen no data or been given any number to support those claims. Is there anywhere showing amount of hospitilazations by age, thus putting this fear tactic to bed

The average age of death in the US is 74. The average age of COVID death in the US is 74. Until that number changes my 42 yr old healthy arse is gonna be fine.

I'm with you. I just wish someone would check the media with they come out with a baseless claim or a half truth

Even if they said 12 kids under 8 were hospitalized you couldn’t trust it was Covid
Until JBE & people like Catherine O’Neal start giving complete information & not speaking in general I won’t trust that they are looking out for me but to push their agenda

I cannot believe no one has spoken out about O’Neal, I thought Dr.s were supposed to deal in facts & not feelings

There have been posters here who work in hospitals giving typical age ranges for patients in their facilities.
Maybe some wi chime in here again.

Seems I recall 40s/50s as the general area.

They aren't putting any of those actual statistics out, because they don't need to. The sheep will believe them blindly and the skeptics will be painted as "Right Wing Anti Vaxxers with no credibility".

Until media members actually start asking questions that matter, none of this will change.

The BR hospitals that have been posting their data answer this question in the comments daily. Unvaccinated- the median age is in the 50s, vaccinated is in the 70s.

Wouldn't this kind of make sense as covid runs through the total population? There's only so many old people to hospitalize, right?

Yesterday this idiot said "if you choose not to vaccinate, you are choosing death."

As if 100% of non vaccinated people are dying. Such dramatic theatre.

How old are your parents? Aunts and uncles? Neighbors? This makes you feel better?

What classifies someone as a "patient"? Some that is in a hospital bed being treated for COIVID or just someone that tested positive and got sent home?

It was posted on here a while back but I can't seem to find it. But the distribution is about what you'd expect. It increases by age group IIRC.

I have. It’s despicable how they are using our kids now.

I'm not so sure they are "using our kids." I think kids have undoubtedly been affected by this surge way more than the others.

I never heard of any kid being in the ICU with COVID in the last year but OLOL Children's has 11 or 12 kids right now.

That's terrible. Do you know if the kid has health issues or immune systems issues? Is he or she a uhh..portly child?

bullshite.

If they are going in with anything, it's either RSV or whooping cough. Both are running rampant (and, because of the whole Covid lockdown/fear bullshite, a lot of kids did NOT get vaccinated for whooping cough last year)
