They may be saying that about the Graham deal but most people know that the Pels have not done nearly enough overall

oh, did the pelicans come out and say they were done?

Lonzo is one of the worst on ball defenders in the league.

This isn't a strong take.

You’d prefer Graham to Powell?

Wut

No. Where did I say that ?

I like Powell. But you’re paying $18mil for a 4th option(and he has to want to play here) as opposed to $11.75mil

There’s some value to Graham’s contract. I was railing on the guy earlier. But at the end of this next year you start writing out & comparing contracts of players that shoot 38-42% from 3, and the usage they get out of Graham should be strong

37.5% on 8.7 attempts for Graham
37.8% on 8.3 attempts for Lonzo

I do like this too:
quote:

He's been even better on catch-&-shoot 3s - 42.6% last season and 41.8% before that according to Second Spectrum.

The 42.6% ranked ninth last year among 62 players to attempt at least 4 catch-&-shoot 3s per game.

Okay, so force them to match

Easier said than done. No one is wanting these contracts pending for 3 days.

Reason you are seeing all S&Ts quick on these RFAs

Slim pickings at this point. All the top targets that the Pels had interest in are off the board

Graham was like 46% from each corner spot or something outrageous earlier

Who is left? You want them to trade 3 first round picks for Fournier?

Yep. It benefits no one to be tied up for 3 days in limbo

I don't see why people are so mad about the pick. If the pick conveys next year that means we made the playoffs which means Graham was probably worth it.
it can still be a pick in the same range we just got Murphy on, that does have value.

And also, if we use your logic, we should have gotten at least a lottery protected 1st from Chicago

I like Graham and I like the contract. I absolutely hate giving up that pick though. In all likelihood that's a top 10 pick in 2023.

I guess our only option now is to resign josh hart

Not even close if we’re using the Memphis trade still. We can still add another 20ish mil to that trade (if we’re bringing Graham into that deal).

Shouldn't be shocking that most people on here probably don't even realize what lottery protected even means :lol

I didn't want Graham, but at this price and that pick, I'm ecstatic.

If we're in the top 10 in 2023, that means Ingram and especially Zion are massively overrated and we're fricked regardless.

Has it been reported what the 2022 pick turns into if the Pels end up in the lottery next season?

Do we even know what the rollover is? It could rollover into 2 2nds.

This franchise is absolute trash and deserves to lose Zion
