I saw a sharp one at a restaurant today. I wouldn’t mind having one.

I kind of dig the ‘72.

I thought I would see every model of the El Camino in the OP so I could make my decision...

El Camino, el el Camino
The front is like a car,
The back is like a truck,
The front is where you park,
The back is where you...

El Camino, el el Camino

I'm not sure why, but the OG '58-'60 models have always appealed to me. I think it has to do with seeing some really cool customs made with them over the years.

I’ve always kind of liked the 1960 El Camino.

Just saw an El Camino with a camper shell on it. Looked pretty badass. Topper was sleek. Not big and boxy.

I had a ‘69 Chevellle. The El Camino looks just like it down to the taillights so I’d go with that.

I'm partial to the 76. probably because I had one the looked very similar to this with a 305 V8

Wish I still had it.

Here’s a ‘65 just to show the generation.

I personally like the later models.

I used to have a shoulder length mullet when I was on my tools. I was eating breakfast at a cracker barrel in Brookhaven, Ms and an elderly (~50) lady approached me and asked if she could take some pictures of me in her El Camino. I wish I had the pics. It looked similar to the one in the OP.

My dad had an 81 or so. It was basically a Monte Carlo. They’re pretty cool. They get a little land-yachty in the late 70’s.

Since I’ve got a Mustang, I’ve always had a thing for the old Falcon Rancheros.

'late '60's and early 70's big block.

'82 and later because front discs are interchangeable with late model factory 2 piston calipers, hubs and spindles, plus Gbody factory and performance parts are plentiful and affordable

67 north of dallas

I have almost pulled the trigger twice on an old nova from these people in sherman texas. They have some decent rides for fair price. Cars you will drive

My dad had a 72 that he built years ago, but he sold it. That sucker would push you back in the seat, but boy did it use gas. Had one of those floating needles, you stomped on it and that needle would drop.

Had a 400 big block.

For aesthetics, it's whatever floats your boat. For performance, 1970 is the pinnacle year for American engines. Compression and torque were the highest and it was the last year emissions restrictions weren't imposed.

Any SS 396 or SS 454 without emissions and low compression.
