Working from home, has anyone tried juggling two jobs?

Has anyone tried juggling two remote jobs at once? I’m looking for a way to make some extra cash and thought this might be a possible avenue, at least short term. Are there any legal problems with this?

There was a thread on this once. Search for it amd you’ll find lots of comments there. I don’t think most of them were positive.

I’ve never been able to juggle, so no.

At least one would need to be very low expectations

A friend tried it. It blew up in his face. Might work if one of them is very flexible with when you work. Taxes shouldn't be an issue.

A WHOLE LOTTA people have picked up side hustles over the last 1.5 years.
If you can do, then do it!

Legal? Not as long as you’re not signing anything otherwise.
Depending on the circumstances probably better to disclose same to each employer unless for example one is a primary job and the other is just fill in, limited basis.

Get one based in east coast and one based on west coast and you can maybe pull it off as long as one of them gives you meeting flexibility

AlejandroInHouston aka SirWinston tried this years ago. I think it was after he had the falling out with his parents.

No get ready to get fired if your current company finds out. There’s a significant chance they will. So if you’re working 40 hours a week, tread very, very lightly. I was considering being a consultant in another company and only working 10 hours a week for this company while primarily working for a company in a non-competing industry. My dad said he fired 3 people for doing something like that and to not do it even if it wouldn’t negatively impact me or my current company.

How would they find out if I don’t tell anyone? Also, why did your dad fire people for it? If their performance slipped then fine. If not, what’s the big deal?

I’m holding down 3 40-hour remote jobs right now. Spend about 3 hours a day on each one.

Tax forms and loose lips. If you’re considering doing this in the same industry, you’re really, REALLY playing with fire.

I just make enough from my one job to be able to enjoy life.

It’s all fun and games until you have two meetings both scheduled for the same time.
