I don't see the problem with this line of thinking, especially if you're in your 20s and 30s and can afford that type of patience because you know the virus has about a 0.1% chance of killing you.

While it’s true that full effects take 5 weeks, you do get substantial protection before that.
There’s a reason the UK opted for a one dose strategy at first

Lol. Cases are going to go down again and it will be, people got vaccinated.
cases will spike again before the end of the year and it will be, stupid antivaxxers arent getting vaccinated.

Random off the wall question.
If you work for a company who says you have to get the vaccine to remain employed there and you get it and suffer some of the side effects, do you get to sue?

Why is that wrong?
The UK is approaching 92% immunity
Louisiana has more covid per capita than the UK
It’s not unreasonable at all to assume 90% of Louisiana is going to have either the shot or the disease by 2022
Black people will never fully embrace and get the vaccine. They just won't.
I think the low-socio economic and less-educated white folks that make up the other large contingent of anti-vaxxers will eventually get it, but the black folks simply don't trust the man.

So why are we sounding the alarm again?
Today Louisiana is reporting 6,225 more confirmed cases of COVID-19. That's the highest reporting day on record for confirmed cases.

You get workers comp for a work related illness or injury.

Yeesh. Good thing 99.99% of them will be ok

see, this is why people don't trust what they read/hear.

And how many are from the tests that the cdc are going to stop using because they suck?

I don't. I know plenty of people in that age range who had or currently have it, but none in the hospital.

immunity
Uh, getting the shots don't make you immune from catching the covid. Now if you say it's possible that 90% could get less sick from catching covid then that would be a more accurate statement.

What I’ve learned about this is that people have no fricking clue how vaccines work or what their purpose is. They’re not some brick wall vs a virus. You still contract the virus. You just have a prepared immune system to fight it off to a low enough viral load to have no systems. All those people are fine but are now considered “covid positive” and have to abide by bullshite rules as if they’re a danger to the world.

It also makes sense that many more than advertised that are contributing to the surge are symptomatic vaccinated people.
Personally I know of several fully vaccinated individuals who have tested positive and became symptomatic (though relatively mild) very recently. These symptomatic vaxxed people may be more of a risk to the spread bc they think everything is all good and they aren’t a risk to others.

Welp, that proves it. Nothing to see here, lol.

You are less likely to because of viral load but its not zero chance. It’s actually close to 100% chance you can still spread it but it all depends on contact.
Put it this way, a person who is vaccinated and believes they can’t and don’t have covid is going to do all the normal things again: hug, hang out, drink, etc. without thinking they could spread anything or “get” anything again.
But a person who actually feels symptoms stays home and away from people.
Who’s more of a danger to others?
