suffer some of the side effects, do you get to sue?
Not sure about the sue part but I seriously doubt you’ll get side effects worth suing for. I don’t know anyone who was sick more than a day after the second shot and most companies allow sick time if you are down for the day after the second vaccine. I worked the day after mine. I had a slight headache when I woke up and took some Tylenol after which I was good to go. I’ve had and worked through worse hangovers.

Put it this way, a person who is vaccinated and believes they can’t and don’t have covid is going to do all the normal things again: hug, hang out, drink, etc. without thinking they could spread anything or “get” anything again. But a person who actually feels symptoms stays home and away from people. Who’s more of a danger to others?
Ding ding ding!!!

i get it, it may be unlikely.
just hearing how all of the sports leagues are requiring players, coaches etc get vaccinated. made me wonder what would happen if one of them had a reaction to something in the vaccine.

What I’ve learned about this is that people have no fricking clue how vaccines work or what their purpose is.
I'm no expert but the basic ideas are easy enough to understand. The thing is, most people including myself, understand that the polio vaccine effectively "stops" you from getting polio. There is no chance that you suddenly get "less severe" polio symptoms and that you could still have a chance to spread it to other people who have been vaccinated against polio. Easily understandable.
We get the flu shot because you get the vaccination against that year's prominent strains, but you could still catch another flavor of flu that wasn't covered. Easily understandable.
This vaccine does not prevent you from getting a high enough viral load to prevent symptoms so you can still get a high enough viral load to spread it in a clinically significant way, so other vaccinated people can suffer the same fate. This is not another strain, it is the same virus. And it is the first widely available vaccine that doesn't use actual virus and basically "prods" your immune system into thinking it has the Hong Kong Fluey. On top of that there are no long term studies available showing what the % of people "X" amount of years down the road could experience vaccine related issues. On top of that, if this wasn't an emergency, the vaccine would not be authorized for use. On top of all that, literally no one is responsible on the off chances that something does happen. Not your boss forcing you to get it to keep your job, not your doctor advocating for you to get it, not your mayor for shutting down your ability to make a living, literally no one is responsible if you get hurt by the very soon to be mandatory medical treatment aka gaining autonomy over our bodies, which I thought was a HUGE nono
That may be way off base and I have no scientific background to back that up, but it is my layman's understanding and could likely be flawed. I expect to be told soon enough.

Why is our country allowing an unlimited amount of untested illegals into our country if they view covid as a real health crisis?
Because it elected a goddamn moron president.
If anything, that fricking loser sending busloads and planeloads of diseased people to places like Shreveport, Chattanooga, and Cedar Rapids should make people MORE likely to get vaccinated.
As I pointed out last night, it's not a coincidence that whooping cough exploded during Obama's second term.

They have a million appointments online.
Yep. I checked available slots right before I left the office then decided to just try to go walk in bc I was slow and going to lunch. There wasn't anything available showing up within the next hour, but I went anyway. I got turned away at two places before being able to walkin without an appointment.
Just relaying my experience from an hour ago.

The enlightened UK. Pray tell, how did they react to the recent penalty kick misses by players in the Euro?

Black people will never fully embrace and get the vaccine. They just won't.
When the government injects you with syphylis as an experiment, it can leave a lasting distrust. Hard to blame them.
But!
While there is a real concern in the black community, there are some that are getting vaccinated.
Some will.

If a company mandates a vaccine and you have an adverse reaction, you cannot sue them.
But you can get Worker's Comp.

Which is bullshite. If I'm required to get a vaccine to exist in society then the assholes forcing me to get it need to be responsible when my heart explodes in 5 years and I leave my kids fatherless. All for a tenth of a % point that I would die if I got the Slope Sickness.

It is considered an on the job injury essentially and you can get worker's comp.
My understanding is there's long standing law on private companies and mandated vaccines, it didn't just pop up with covid.

quote:Again, you carry the flu virus whether it’s the one you are vaccinated against or not. The same principles apply. You can even show symptoms for the ones you are vaccinated against. You are just more likely to for strains not in the vaccine.

quote:The frick is this? I haven’t said anything about the negative effects of the virus because most of that is BS. It was BS when the Dems said it. It’s BS when reps say it. People have always had negative reactions to shots. Full stop. That shouldn’t stop anyone from getting this. There’s also not great reasons for it to be mandatory when the threshold for freaking out is case load and we know that a “case” is now defined as anyone carrying the virus whether you are asymptomatic or not which is completely new ground for counting cases.

Legally, I don't see an issue.
Vaccinated employees is a huge benefit to a company.

I don't believe you.
Well, I don't know that it is actually true, but 2 different people told me they had appointments canceled by the pharmacy because they ran out of doses. And a third person drove to 5 different CVS locations last week for a walk-in shot before finally finding one with availability.
Maybe they all lied to me though.
