My wife already says I am one of the most naccistic people on earth and would probably go on for hours about my "accomplishments"...lol
But how about one that really hits home- I never lost a beer guzzling contest between the ages of 20-35!

When I was 13 or 14 I made an unassisted triple play in baseball. Runners on 1st & 2nd, and I was playing shortstop. Line drive up the middle and I make a diving catch. Runner on 2nd had broken for 3rd and fell trying to turn around, so easy tag out. Runner on 1st didn't think I caught it and ran all the way to 2nd base, so I tagged him just as he got there.
I wasn't real sure it had actually happened, but my coaches were going absolutely nuts, and there was some confusion among the umps. None of them had ever seen it happen, and it happened really quickly.

I don't hold the accomplishment dear, but its a memory I will never forget.
I went to a shitty rural high school in Alabama. So shitty that the state took it over a few years ago. Anyway, my junior year of high school, our academic team peaked. You had me, a history buff, a science guy who ended up going to Alabama for engineering, and two girls who were really smart - one freshman who had read every classic novel and ended up at Tulane, and another math whiz who went to MIT for grad school. We may have been 4 of the 10 smartest people ever to go to my high school and it lined up for us that one year.
Keep in mind, only five people in my graduating class of 77 went to college. To have this lineup was a once in a lifetime deal for our school. We made it all the way to state championships, which were the final eight schools in the state - public/private/large/small.
We ended up taping the competition for Alabama Public Television. We lost our first round match to Tuscaloosa Central (it was a different school back then) then faced Bob Jones out of Huntsville in an elimination match. We lost on a technicality in a sudden death extra question that will haunt me until the day I die.
"This adjective describes a form of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives."
Bob Jones girl buzzed in first and said "democracy"
All four of us buzzed because she was wrong - the answer was "democratic" because the question specifically asked for an adjective.
It was common for a moderator to ask the judges if something was close. They conferred with the judges and gave Bob Jones the win. Our sponsor protested but because the matches were televised, they couldn't do anything because the next match had already started.
Bob Jones fought through the losers bracket and won.

Set the pull up record in elementary and middle school. Won a parade float contest solo in a boat. Been to all lower 48 states and hitchhiked the entire US West Coast. Seems so weird now that I’m all grown up.

I won the "citizenship award" in both 7th and 8th grade. It was an award given to one student out of the entire grade. Both grades probably had 150-250 students. Not even sure what the criteria was but I think the teachers voted on it.

I wrote the petition that added PTSD as a qualifying condition for medical marijuana in AZ. At the time, only OR and NM allowed medical cannabis certification for PTSD. Now almost all states allow it and my petition has been used in almost every approval process since. CSB, I know. I do know.
