Ripples From Megatsunami That Killed the Dinosaurs Found in Louisiana

YouTube: Anton Petrov - Ripples From Megatsunami That Killed the Dinosaurs Found in Louisiana

ScienceDirect: Chicxulub impact tsunami megaripples in the subsurface of Louisiana: Imaged in petroleum industry seismic data
quote:

Large-scale megaripples have been recognized in a petroleum industry 3D seismic horizon near the Cretaceous/Paleogene (K-Pg) boundary. These features occur at the top of the Cretaceous/Paleogene Boundary Deposit (KPBD) which is a “cocktail” of mass transport deposits and debris widely recognized as resulting from the impact of a large bolide 66 million years ago (Ma) creating the Chicxulub impact crater on the northwestern corner of the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. We examine the seismic data and associated well-logs and conclude that the features are megaripples caused by the tsunami resulting from the impact. These megaripples are preserved as a result of having formed below storm wave base and being buried by Paleocene deep water shales. This association suggests that the Chicxulub impact is the single cause for the KPBD, the megaripples, and the end of the Mesozoic.

So 1975

Fred Sanford and his friend Grady were already expert in the California variant of ripple.

1. Dinosaurs never existed
2. Louisiana wasn’t even a state until the 1812, so even if there were dinosaurs and the earth was that old, there’s no way that Louisiana was a thing back then.

Considering Science believes the impact that killed the dinosaurs happened off of the yucitan peninsula, yeah we would have received tsunami's.

One of the best fossil sites we have discovered yet is the Tanis Fossil Site in North Dakota. It is theorized that it is one of the best in the world due to the mega earthquake making its way up the Mississippi Valley through what was once an inland sea creating a mix of mud and water that led to so many fossils being so well preserved. It’s a interesting read if anyone feels like going down a Wikipedia rabbit hole.

Basically like a tsunami but a 10.5 earthquake liquidating the land.

The asteroid that supposedly killed the dinosaurs made impact in the Gulf, didnt it? One would assume the land that is now Louisiana probably got a bit of water from that.

This is extremely interesting. There is so much cool scientific stuff going on in the world today. I wish we focused more on these stories instead of our bullshite celeb gossip.

There is a whole lot of shite that happened on/to this planet over billions of years we have no clue about but a small handful of crazy homo sapiens think 50 years of using crude is going end it.

Great post, thanks for sharing, and one hell of a rabbit hole. Read this on a flight following link after link and ended up reading about Himmler's obsession with finding Atlantis in the north sea and building a cult on its archeology.

Explain this to me like I’m a five year old without a degree in geology.
