Why he would wait until now to have the surgery makes no sense.

a 2nd injury that was suffered in "garbage time" that had a massive detrimental effect to our 2020 season
the other being Kwon's torn Achilles
MT13's injury was suffered very late in week 1 vs. TB

Previous reports stated he needed multiple surgeries so it’s likely this isn’t the first surgery he’s had to recover from this offseason, which would delay this surgery

I've been beating this same drum for years: the Saints need to upgrade the WR corps. How the Saints did not address the position in the draft is mind-boggling.
Now the chickens have come home to roost. Congrats to Trequan Smith, I guess. Our new #1 receiver. 80 career receptions. 1100 career yards. Three years.
This team lacks firepower outside of Kamara. It is a major need.

Waiting until June to have the surgery is beyond unforgivable. It's either his fault or the medical team/front office's fault.
It is time to trade this dude once he recovers and get something for him. He only played 7 games last year and will miss several games to start. He is going to sandbag until next season when those heavy incentives kick in.
