At first glance, I like the concept. You play your “Div” every year & play every other team once every two years, hosting every four. Makes a lot of sense, not to mention the TV money would be off the charts.

Opens the door for adding four at a time after that :-) Miami, FlSt, Clemson & ? Will depend if the powers that be want to go for market share with additional geography.

The game is changing.

I believe the SEC office knows EVERYTHING that is said on SEC Network. if this "proposal" was discussed, you can bet it's under consideration at the office.

Personally I'd swap Arky for A&M. But I could live with this.

No way the schools would agree to a 17 game season. (12 game reg season, 2 game SEC playoff, and 3 game CFP assuming we go to 8 teams).

You could have all the teams schedule rent-a-wins for week 12 and then make the first round of the playoffs that week. 4 of the rent-a-win teams would be rescheduled to play each other. I'm sure they'd be happy with that if they still got a pay day.

I don’t care for it. I like having to play again Bama, Auburn and A&M every year. Who doesn’t get pumped for those games. I think LSUs pod with this set up is boring as hell.

Looks good but just swap Arkansas and Texas A&M.

Should have gone to 9 games sooner.

It's not boring.

You have 6 other conference games.

You could play those 3 Texas, Bama and Florida in one season.

You play every team in a 4 year period.

I like it.

The geographical proximity makes sense, unlike the current SEC West.

It is incredible the lengths they’ll go to keep Texas and A&M from playing each other annually. It’s like watching two gay kids be shipped into a straight relationship and forced to kiss during spin the bottle. They both don’t want it so much.

Bama gets the easiest pod, of course.

LSU's is easier. Auburn has been wildly unpredictable in recent years but when you go to Jordan-Hare you better be ready for a brawl. Aggies have a soft football culture home or away.

Every team who wins their pod is probably going to make a 12 team playoff.
