kinda like the kid Hanner Shipley who signed with Miles back in 2015. Showed up, got his arse beat, then immediately left. Transferred to Abilene Christian then to La Tech.
Back in 2016/2017, the posters on this board (RickDummy, Damone, Gold Rush, et al.) claimed that Orgeron ran off all of the talented OL that Miles had amassed.
Good times.

Shead was a 5 star, number 1 tight end, nfl body, who started day one at LSU and had weed/mental issues and couldn't decide where to transfer?

I keep reading a connection to Nolan as a reason Shead was offered. I know Olive Branch and Cordova are close, but they went to different schools. Can anyone explain the connection?

They went to the same day care.

They can get the spot back if they get Shead to sign a Volunatry withdraw waiver. That’s how Bama gets 1 or 2 of their extra spots a year. Would be nice if we could get that spot and do a little tampering and get some solid Otackle or Tight end to transfer in.

Thought they took him to help land Walter Nolan. Doesn’t look like it helped.

I am sure your application for the Head Coaching position was mysteriously lost in the mail, thus denying you of your rightful position, now occupied by CEO.

Kind of like when there was a thought that we would have to offer a scholarship to Ishmael Sopsher’s brother.

Ish decided to go to Bama, so we never had to make that decision.
Nobody knows if we would have done so...
Thankfully, we missed on ISh.

Well I don’t want anyone like that. That’s someone who wants something given to him, that’s not a competitor.

Wasn't he a teammate of Walter Nolan? Seems why Nolan has cooled on us.

Sucks cause LSU loses that counter can’t replace with a transfer
This should be automatic. When a kid leaves, you should get an extra scholly spot.

This seems like one of those situations where logic would dictate that we should get a spot back. We literally got nothing from the player. He’s backing out of his signature.

Nolan's first two years he played at OBHS.
He then left for IMG but was dismissed (rumors he got caught taking things that didn't belong to him)
Someone close to Nolan was also close to Joey Magnifico head coach at SBA and they figured out a way to get Nolan enrolled and his tuition paied.
I've always heard Nolan and Shead are distantly related too. But they are very good friends.

Perhaps he missed his momma.
