But do any other state capitols have a stray bullet hole in the spot where a socialist dictator was assassinated?

LA capitol in BR is #1 and everything else is a distant second. It’s unique, majestic, not a copy of the DC capitol.
It's not even a close comparison IMO.
Louisiana built a palace while it's people were struggling through the Great Depression. But at least it looks awesome.

The Hawaii Capitol building may be the worse from that article. Looks like a library.
Looks like UC Berkeley. Which is not a compliment.

As someone who works inside the Capitol, let me just say its literally crumbling from the inside out. It's in extremely bad shape, there's offices that take in water after every moderate to heavy rain.
That scaffolding is because they are attempting to repair the limestone, but its a multi-year, maybe multi-decade project because the funds are never earmarked for it.

Alaska’s just looks like a completely random small office building. I love it.

It reflects the rest of the state.

Wisconsin's is legit. The dome is made of granite and is the only granite dome in the country.

La. Looks like the empire state building tbh.
West Virginia's was built around the same period. 1924-1932

That looks awesome.
Ours is a building that fits in with other buildings, and you'd never know it was important except for the columns. Its not very exciting.

Yeah....but it's not nearly as cool, and I bet there isn't a single bullet hole in the marble.

Alaskans continually try to move the Capitol, but somehow we have hung on. I wouldn't mind it being moved.

I appreciate how people aren't glamorizing the government with a fancy building even if I don't like the architecture.

I've had people standing right in front of the building asking where the Capitol building was.
Yeah, politicians don't deserve fancy shite. They leach on us enough

Apparently this guy is not a fan of the Louisiana State Capitol building. Nebraska blogger who's obvious bias is bleeding through this blog post:
Louisiana State Capitol vs. Nebraska State Capitol

Is that a pueblo
It's supposed to be a replica of a Pueblo Kiva, or ceremonial building.

South Carolina's state capitol has chips in it from Union shelling during the Civil War when Sherman's army took Columbia.
