re: Mississippi eliminates income tax

The tax ends by 2037 no matter what, regardless of gaps in revenue.
Unless you go on opening weekend, most movies are not even a quarter full. What's going to stop someone from buying a value ticket and then sitting wherever they want, same as a half empty sporting event.
I actually bought multiple cars from that dealership because they always had better deals than Audi BR. This guy was great:

The flaw in this argument is that the government has routinely bailed out corporations who have exhibited reckless, and often times criminal behavior. Everyone get's in an uproar when the government 'bails' out civilians or gives any individual assistance, meanwhile corporations have been taking handouts for decades and no one bats an eye.
As someone who works inside the Capitol, let me just say its literally crumbling from the inside out. It's in extremely bad shape, there's offices that take in water after every moderate to heavy rain.
That scaffolding is because they are attempting to repair the limestone, but its a multi-year, maybe multi-decade project because the funds are never earmarked for it.

The fact that OP labeled this as a 'demostration' is a joke! They stormed the Capitol....

Thankful that you and your friend survived, albeit with what sounds like some serious injuries. Prayers for you and the loss of your dog!

re: Is Carvana comparable to dealerships?

Bought one two months ago, great experience. Offered me more than anyone else for trade-in, and new purchase was right in line with other comparables.
Also, there was a rock chip on windshield, and a small dent on backside fender that wasn't disclosed on website. Their service dept was great, I took it to the body shop of my choice and they paid the bill ($2500) to replace windshield and rear panel and door replacement.

Just purchase a smartthings hub and connect to your ring devices and any other 'smart' things. My set up works well together this way.

re: No way Ole Miss survives the great awokening... right?

Whether you believe its overblown or not, the bottom line is that the State absolutely will have to capitulate if they ever want to see competitive football, basketball, track, etc etc teams from Ole Miss or Miss St.
This will absolutely affect recruiting. With social media and this generation of athlete, those schools will not be able to continue to attract high caliber guys without changes to the State.

re: 50 point basis cut by Fed. Market responds with a 750 point drop

Fed cutting outside the scope of a normal meeting has caused more panic. It's viewed as a desperation move. Plus, with an increased number of companies slowing down or delaying production, that will have a real impact on earnings.
Markets don't like uncertainty, and the ultimate impact of coronavirus is as uncertain as it gets.
