There's a thread about this already, but yes, he's the best CFB player I've seen in my lifetime. He deserves his Heisman trophy

Well Reggie your family also received benefits that were not available by legal means for all college athletes.

Yes. Everyone saw how dominant he was. Nothing changes that.

Maybe if it were PEDs, then maybe we could talk.

I mean that was over 10 years ago. So no. Knowingly broke the rules.

Sure he does.

OJ Simpson never had his taken away.

or did his former manager take it?

either way sure he does.

No. Anyone who got involved with the Kardashians doesn't deserve it.

It deserves to be reinstated, and then given to Vince Young instead.

I feel like he took the full force of the CFB world being angry at USC for being so good.

Which is weird because they weren’t even 1/10th as good as Alabama under Saban. And nobody is hating on these top Alabama players on the same level as they were those USC teams.

ETA: I say give it back and apologize to him. Hell, Trent Richardson and his entire family probably got better illegal treatment than Bush did.

No! USC was cheating and other schools did not cheat and could have match his offer or even gotten a better deal. That was not fair and his parents got paid! That is all is needed to keep that punishment even though he didn't get a penny from it but no one should not know that his parents got paid and he didn't know about it. That is why he is still under his parents care.

I mean if he gets his Heisman back then any program who had to forfeit or vacate wins in the past should get all those back too.

I’m torn.

He won the Heisman fair and square- he was absolutely the best player that year.

He had it stripped over a money thing, not for cheating. I know the Heisman has strict standards.

If the NCAA, Heisman trust and downtown athletic club wasn’t such a joke now I’d say they shouldn’t have stripped him in the first place but going back on that and giving it to him again looks even worse. But like I said they’re a joke so yea just keep making then undoing decisions over and over again as clown world gets more and more stupid.

he will get it eventually, this was about , LOL, "Cleaning" up cfb

same shite when martha stewart got popped. she wasn't doing anything anyone, especially politicians weren't doing, and what she did was very marginal, but it came after some black eyes to banking industry, and they wanted to make some one popular pay for all of the rest.

He broke a rule that was in place at the time.

If I receive a speeding ticket for 55 in a 45, but the speed limit increases to 55 a few months later, I can’t have my ticket reversed and thrown out after I paid the fines in traffic court.

Yep. The benefits he received didn’t enhance his performance. Fine or some punishment at the time would be appropriate. Hindsight punishment here is BS.

Pete Carroll doesn't get enough shite for the bitch move he played leaving USC. He cheated, got caught, let his former players catch the brunt of the criticism, then when sanctions were headed their way, he bolted for the NFL to let that program and his players rot away.

Give Reggie his Heisman back

Should’ve never given it back in the first place, we’re not dumb we know he played then and we know so many athletes at other schools engaged in the same conduct across many sports and decades, it’s hypocritical. GIVE HIM HIS HEISMAN BACK!!
