It also depends on the scholarship situation. I doubt some of those other MIF guys are on scholly (the in state guys I mean).

True, a walk on could stay where an OOS kid with scholarship money would have to go.

don't they have to enter today to be able to transfer? I doubt all the people who enter it will leave

A lot of people, including Kendall Rogers, have said that they expect that deadline to be pushed back. However if that’s true then idk why they’re waiting on the last minute to do it. Really putting a lot of kids in a very tough spot.

Exactly, they have to enter before July 1st to have options. That doesn't mean he's leaving.

I actually think that him and Drost could our two most improved players next year.

Yes it would apply at this time, idk that he’s had a chance to evaluate the players yet,any of them.

Arnold was an average hitter with decent pop for his size

In SEC action he hit 200 in 45 ABs. He did have some pop and he is a good size.
But he has no glove and that really makes it tough to play him except as a DH.
He has potential, but he has a partial scholarship. So what csn you do if you have to make room?
Also look at it from his POV, he needs to play in the field.

Yea I would think Cranford would be on the chopping block before Arnold.

I get those little frickers mixed up, Safford is the little guy, isn’t he? That’s who I think gets processed. One of the three with similar names can hit a little, which one is that?

A full evaluation, no; however, he has been watching tape and from listening to him, a lot of tape.
Arnold can’t wait past July 1, he has to act fast.

Hate to hear it, but he’ll go where he can play and don’t be surprised if Nolan gives him a call

Safford is another one, off to a terrible start in summer ball, hitting under 100, that's not gonna cut it with the new coach
Will Safford, INF: In 8 games, he’s batting .63 (1 for 16), 3 runs, 1 RBI, 3 stolen bases, 3 strikeouts, 4 walks, 1 error

That’s CPM’s game 1 of the regional starting second baseman.

I think Arnold's been pissed since Paul sat him at the beginning of conference for a guy that couldn't hit himself out of a wet paper bag. Just sour grapes. If Johnson wants him to stay, he'll stay.

That makes no sense. He knows if they add Berry the chances of him being in the lineup dwindle

The playing time patterns for Safford made me think Mainieri hated him and wanted everyone else to hate him too.

Why do people keep hating on our all sec freshman SS?

The board seemed to sour on Thompson late in the season when he got the yips and made a number of bad throwing errors. I really hope he sticks around because I love his potential.
