One big thing I've noticed watching the World Series - pitch movement

Every pitcher these teams are bringing in have some movement on every pitch. Our guys this year were throwing a lot of flat fastballs that got mashed. I don’t know how you fix that exactly, since a lot of that is natural, but the new pitching coach has his work cut out for him.

Every team seems like they have 4+ guys in heavy rotation who can hit 95mph.

This is most of it, I love the straightaway view. Some of these dudes also have great movement compared to our straight throwers.

The Vandy pitchers are filthy.

I wish we could have that type of development.

you are being downvoted, but this has been a problem for a while. Flat four seamers and no wipe pitches.

I like the sarcasm. But to answer the OP the observation is on point. Not sure why the DV’s happened. Movement is amazing by these pitchers

Yes, the pitchers are good but the movement the op is talking about is more visible due to the camera angle.

I don't think we would score more than one run a game against these teams

Gotcha. Omaha has those extra cool cameras we don't have in BR. No doubt the ball movement on these kids in omaha is mlb level and we dont have that currently at LSU. Marceaux might be a 3rd game arm for Vandy this year. Cmon

It’s more and better camera angles. NC State was a 2 seed in a regional and their pitching looks amazing.Fricking amateur hour.

Yeah Bauer is on ESPN right now and it doesn’t even look like he is getting as much movement as the CWS pitchers because the camera is offset like normal instead of directly in line with the plate.
