To be quite honest I believe all of Johnson, Vitello, McDonnell, and Godwin would not only be great hires but great fits as well. All recruit hard, develop talent, and are great coaches!

Woodward is going to play out the Corbin possibility as long as he can or until it becomes clear Corbin isn't leaving Vandy, but ultimately Corbin won't be the hire.
Knowing that, the other "two finalist" are probably out there to create leverage against Godwin. If you're Godwin and you know (1) LSU is a bit needy after missing out on their top choices and (2) they are willing to pay a ton, you're in a good spot to squeeze LSU unless....there are other names (Johnson, Garrett) who are also "finalist"

this doesn't bode well. his press conference after the loss made me think he was considering LSU. Comments like this make me think he's happy where he's at. who fricking knows at this point. i wouldn't be surprised if they revived Connie Mack from the dead and hired him

Corbin. Thought so since it was reported we were pursuing him when the Oregon State coach info broke. It's a Woodward type hire

absolutely. but there are a lot of damn fools out there. some people just like where they live, have families, etc. I think Tony is unmarried, but my dad passed up raises at least 3 times when i was a kid because it involved a serious move
