What size is your guitar amp?

What size guitar amp do you use for bedroom play? I’ve posted earlier this week about looking at a hot rod deluxe, but seeing a lot of comments about it being super loud. I think it might be why my egnater rebel might not get a good sound, it barely have the volume turned on.
What is your ideal wattage for your bedroom?

I've had everything from 1 watt to 50 watts. As long as it has a good master volume, you can get away with a bigger amp. I'm using an Axe Fx 3 now though. Will ever go back to tube amps or pedals.

Roland 60 watt cube modeling amp I haven't played in at least a year. I play acoustic in my man cave so no need to amp it.

Microterror orange tube head with a small orange cab. I love it. It is the answer to a home jam amp combo. It has a headphone Jack and best of all the little amp has more than enough sound to jam at home or even play with others.
I have the microterror “dark” it’s the one with the effects loop:
And if you want or need more sound to jam with friends or something you can just buy a bigger cab.

Boss Katana 100 1x12 combo.
it has .5, 50 and 100 watt settings.
The .5 watt is great for bedroom playing and if you get to jam, 50 or 100 watts is plenty loud enough.

My "little" amp is a 65 watt music man through a 4x10 Marshall cabinet. I run that sucker on half power on about 2.5/10 when home alone...3.5 if I want my ears to ring.
But I bust out the HD130 playing with the boys and I can blow out my neighbors eardrums 2 streets over. I can't really imagine a situation where it should be past 5. I've played outdoor venues with no mic on volume 3 and I was too loud.
To answer your question whatever you want really. I got tired of getting different tones out of my little amp vs gig amp so I just turn the channel volume way up and the master way down to jam at home. A 1-5 watt tube amp would probably be the best sounding for home use and not shaking the walls. I just couldn't ever justify the money when a couple hundred more dollars gets a stadium rig

I use a Blackstar I.D Core 100 Watt. Solid state but sure has a beautiful stereo separation! I just keep the volume down in home.

for your bedroom?
My 5150 has become my main, even more so over the triple rectifier. This Peavey was made in 1994, but the tubes came from a very early 1992 model.

Making a long story short..sometimes I throw it on my Orange PPC412 cab too which blends well with the Mesa cab in a mix. For the metal riffs, when mixing I'll usually pan one to the left and the other to the right (96%-100%) a lot of time using a Maxon ST-9 Pro+, ISP Decimator, and the HM2. Then in the center I use whichever sounds best that day with a Fortin blade, KHDK, wurm, RAT or etc., with Shure sm57 mics all around (sometimes doubled with an sm58). The OS Mesa 4x12 sounds better for "cleans & ambients" too imo.

The only amp I still have is my old 1975 Fender Twin Reverb which very rarely gets turned on anymore.

I have a Peavey 6505MH with an EVH 212 cab. Wattage is set at 5. It's plenty loud at that level.

This is my 50W (6L6) bedroom amp at about ~1W (RMS).
Single raw track.
Guitar Track Only
You can hear my hands on the strings as well as the bleed over from the desktop speakers into the mic.
And here is what I was playing over:
Bedroom Remix
Edit: Sorry, amp is a Zinky BV. Will post pic when I get image hosting sorted.

I keep one of the little 3 watt Orange amps in the bedroom. For some reason, my wife keeps stealing the batteries out of it.

Got a new Mesa Subway last year, so I just kept my old Hartke 5000 I have had since the 90s for playing at home. Just plug into my portable Phil Jones 4x5 cab. It’s a lot of rig for the bedroom, but wouldn’t have got much for it.

I’m getting back into playing electric after having all of my stuff stolen out of my apartment when I was in college.
Last weekend I bought a Marshall JCM 900 50W Dual Reverb with a Marshall 1936 2x12 cab.
Looking forward to getting another electric in the coming weeks. Also need to get an attenuator.

I have a little crappy Kustom solid state amp if I need to play quiet. Fortunately, I have a separate shop I keep my rig in and practice there. I gig with an early 90s American made Peavey Classic 30 with a Tone Tubby hemp cone speaker. I live in the country and can crank it all I want.
