ESPN 104.5 vs. Culotta

Every show on 104.5's lineup is basically saying it's Bianco's job to turndown and that Godwin is the clear backup. Culotta, whom is super connected within BR and LSU, is saying its one of the coaches in Omaha.
How can these parties be so far apart on this?

The people giving 104.5 info want to it be Bianco and the people giving Jordy info don’t. That’s just my guess. We pretty much know there’s a group of skip and former players that want Bianco. And most believe that Woodward wants someone else.

OTOP saying it's all smoke too and that Vitello is the target. Jordy and OTOP have been breaking a lot more news vs the guys on 104.5 who usually give opinions.

One of the reasons Bianco could be the clear #1 choice of Woodward and still not have it announced is bc Bianco hasn’t accepted yet.

Possible, but why would he drag it out this long? From the sounds of it, he’s on his way out of Ole Miss within the next couple of years unless he dramatically improves (which he hasn’t really indicated he will, let’s be honest).
I just feel like if LSU had offered him the position, his acceptance would be more expeditious. He doesn’t have the same leverage as McDonnell, Vitello, or even Godwin to drag the process out.

If LSU really interviewed Godwin today, there's no way Bianco has an offer.
I truly believe Woodward is just humoring Skip and his posse by leaking the Bianco news...as Jordy says, Scott is a big game hunter, doesn't make lazy good ol boy hires, of which hiring Bianco is the definition.

Logic tells me that they are using Gordy Rush as the smoke screen. If the true target were MB or CG, we would’ve hired a coach by now, tomorrow at the latest. If the true target is in Omaha, that person and his team/school need a smokescreen so that they can focus on the business at hand as opposed to media inquiries. At the minimum, someone Omaha is in the mix and has communicated his willingness to be interviewed.

I'm not saying Culotta knows, I just trust him and fricking OTOP over scone and crew at 1045. They have sources on football, but that's about it.

If it's a coach that's currently in Omaha, it seems like allowing news of the job to distract from them trying to win there would be a major turn off.
ETA: Meaning, our AD would likely not allow anything to come out if they're pursuing an Omaha coach so as not to mess up the possibility of hiring them.

Exactly how I feel. I don't think any of those guys really know anything at this point though. Seems like they're just getting little nuggets here and there
