They do. Killed one a few years ago that had been living in a wood duck house for a while that was over 7'

I don't think that snake is 12' long. It is moving way too fast to be that large.

That is 100% a python. Look at the spots on it

I thought the same but that snake is as thick or thicker than one of the trees in that video. It’d have to be 12 ft to get that fat. The article said it stretched longer than half the road where they saw it cross from the pond.

Snake looks too large to be a rat snake.
It's highly unusual, but my father claims one that size was in the neighbor's yard when he was growing up. They called the police.
The biggest one I've ever seen was about 6-7 feet.

That thing is way bigger than 12 feet

my vote is also for the chicken snake. pics below showing their pattern. I too believe the FB video is very deceiving on the size.

It's probably not as long as it appears in video.
Could be a record chicken/rat snake though
I often saw them in trees on some family property. Looking for bird nests
If they find it and measure it, I bet it is 9+ feet

On second watch, you’re probably right.

The video is tricking yall....it is not 12' and its not a python. I have kept and sold several of both species. That tree would be struggling to hold a 12" Burmese IF it was even in a tree. They are only at home in the trees at a smaller size.

It's not fooling me
I've seen them 7-8 ft routinely
But I do think this one could be the largest I or anyone has seen in some time.
I had 2 wrapped and mating fall from a tree across my shoulder before.
Not a stranger to the species

Years ago I headed to my camp on the lake and at the turn off to my camp a rat snake was laying across the road from one side to the other. You could see he had just eaten something as there were bumps across his body of whatever he at. Had to be at least 9'.

ETA: Agree, rat snake, not a BP. Head of a BP is distinctively shaped as in pic above.
