ETA: I’m guessing it will be Saarloos or perhaps Heefner for TCU

Very religious, has five kids and likes being where he's at. Baylor came calling when Smith left and he quickly turned that down.

TCU would be wise just to promote Saarlos, they love him over there. Maybe LSU could be the school that gets Heefner out of that comfort zone, but he is a VERY good coach and a VERY good guy

Ironically, LSU would probably hire UVA's O'Connor over Heefner.

Well, VA is winning 5-2 right now...

And he is a former Mainieri assistant (ND) who has coached at a Power 5 school and won at natty (2015).

Very impressive career, DBU was a NAIA powerhouse in the late 90’s, then just kept in rolling getting better and continuously competitive, it is truly remarkable how he has been able to sustain success there

I’d be ok with O’Conner too. He’s got a pretty incredible resume’.

Dude has had a pretty incredible career at freaking Dallas Baptist. 7 straight 40 win seasons. 14 seasons as HC, with 10 NCAA appearances. Again, he’s done this at DBU.
Yeah, I'm sold. Make him say no.

I think Heefner is a guy that is atop the second tier list if McDonnell, Vitello, Godwin, and I guess Bianco all fall through.

I would def take Heefner over Bianco. I feel like he’s on the same level as Godwin. Dude has straight built that program from the ground up.

TCU folks are concerned Sarloos will go to Cal St Fullerton. No clue if that is a realistic concern. They really like him there.

Really another Notre Dame has been. We had enough with PM.

My list
1. Dan Hefner
2. Tennessee coach
3. Bianco

Give DBU coach 1.5 Mil and then Vandy pitching coach 500K to come be lead assistant. You get a hitting specialist and a pitching specialist. Spending 2 mil so it is under budget

If you think Dallas Baptist is a no name school you don’t know college baseball.

He’s at the real DBU. We don’t have a shot at the fake DBU

You ever see Dallas Baptist play in person?
They are well-coached and well-Baptisted. And Heefner is the perfect fit there.

Can’t imagine he would turn down Baylor and soon TCU and go to a Sodom and Gomorrah destination like LSU.
